2025/26 David Moyes

It’s only people that don’t support Everton that aren’t happy. It’s very sad that they post on this forum.
Sorry but that’s simply not true. The forum is for opinions, different and often opposing opinions. If views get censored, or plums continue to come out with this ‘he’s a kopite’ crap then as a forum it will cease to be relevant. You don’t have to love everything about Everton all of the time to be an Evertonian…..it’s healthy to be frustrated by a poor result or performance or a manager who’s stubborn and predictable at times.

There can be healthy scepticism and criticism and there can be other reasons for posting.

…..absolutely but it’s important posters aren’t fixed in their views. If they are, they look for excuses rather than accept situations.

From a managerial perspective to have us on 28 points at the end of December, 14 points outside the relegation places and just four points off the top 4 is some achievement.

From what I see, there is quite a large group of posters who are anti-Moyes but it’s difficult to deny he’s done a terrific job since he came in. It’s been an ideal appointment given where we were, the transition to new ground with new owners.

I think it’s very easy to spot the real non-Evertonians on here if you want to, but equally it’s short-sighted and cheap picking out certain posters because they make a high number of posts and challenge the norm.

Just like G&T it wouldn’t be GOT without a few slices of citrus🍋.

Don’t disagree Eggs.
I’ve said before that Moyes isn’t for me, but equally that he’s doing/done the job he was hired to do and is doing it very well. Expectation is always too high with Everton, but it shouldn’t restrict us wanting a structure that can comfortably take us to, and keep us at the next level. Having a solid opinion on whether Moyes is or isn’t the man to do that shouldn’t be a stick to be beaten with. There are some who think he can do no wrong and some polar opposites who think he can do no right…..in truth I imagine most of us are just left or right of middle.

Can't disagree with a word of that

I commend Moyes with a win in very challenging circumstances , although he seems to inadvertently through injuries find the best position for players than opts to revert when other options are available, such as returning kdh to the ten role when he was fit after a couple excellent performances as a 8 and then having Jake as the cb , that's his best position as well. I worry that when keane is fit ,it will be business as usual.

Yes. There’s nothing wrong with changing your mind about something.

The worst of this (or any) forum comes from a small number of posters who are desperate not to be proven wrong about anything.

It’s okay to be wrong!

I think Moyes is doing a good job but feel he won’t take us to the next level. That will never change for me. His lack of substitutions, failure to go for it against big teams and choosing older heads rather than blooding youngsters will always be an issue for me.

The league is all over the place this year and if we got some full backs and an attacking player than can score he can easily get us Europe.

He’s a million times better than Dyche but I still feel we need to build a squad of promising players with an attacking manager to take the next step
