2025/26 David Moyes

I heard Moyes state at the end of his post match interview that "the players dont get things wrong on purpose...or at least they say they dont".

What a daft thing to say about your players.

He's always been a classless buffoon who never admits he gets things wrong. He stood there yesterday and watched us get well beaten and outplayed by an Arsenal team that are struggling to find form.

His response is always to look for others to blame for a wretched performance.
You are misunderstanding the noble craft of mass communication if you expect him to make a pariah of himself wilfully at every opportunity. If the manager is at fault, this is always strongly implied and often times taking blame onto yourself can only make it worse.

Granted, it can also work with a certain purpose: A manager can take the blame in an attempt to shield his players. Sometimes you hear it after a very, very bad defeat. But generally you are asking for Moyes to follow a set of rules that doesnt make sense for anyone, or anything else than to maybe serve your vindictive fantasies...

You definitely are an expert when it comes to people never admitting when they get things wrong so 🤷

That 'Arsenal team struggling to find form' are top of the PL and their CL group and in the QF of the Carabou cup ... you really do out-do daft sometimes

Hels a very thin skinned and very defensive manager. That's insecurity.

Even when he hears fans have been unhappy with performances or that time he played a second string to go out to Wolves in the LC he got a titty lip on.

That's not a man of good character.

Its just rational communication dude. I should know, ive worked with this kind of stuff for over 20 years. When does it ever happen that a manager happily invites blame or negative framing upon himself?

The media part is a massive part of the skill set of the manager. They all know what they are doing. Have a look at the case of Big Sam if you wanna study it, the accusations you just mentioned (especially addressing fans unhappy with performances) is something that man faced virtually every day, have a look at how he has handled them?

As a player, the worst headspace is knowing you are not meeting expectations. This season we could have blown things wide open. Everybody for the most part has been flopping. Europe is there for the taking.

We were in the Arsenal game until the penalty, but let's chalk that as an expected loss. Chelsea too. If you are not taking care of the winnable results, you have to steal some results. I feel like we are doing a half arse job at both. It is only a matter of time before the rot sets in again and players like Grealish, Ndiaye and KDH begin to drop off.

We have to start winning results. Gotta quit dropping others. I can see it getting ugly again.

Lots of times a manager will say they take the blame for a bad performance. I think even Slot did it in the last few weeks.

It's not exactly unheard of in football for a manager to say they take responsibility is it?
