2025/26 David Moyes

It was explicable. It was all about what an Arsenal defender did rather than a huge brain fart from O'Brien.

People who think O'Brien raises his hand with zero input from an opponent just dont understand how football works.
The opponent didn't raise both his hands above his head, stop talking nonsense you agenda driven citrus
Moyes was right, it was stupid. And it did decide the game in the end

Laughable.

If a defender pulls down on a player trying to get elevation and then stops it'll lead to the mistiming of a jump and the arms raised phase comes in just at that moment the ball lands in the danger zone as heads are trying to get on it.

You cant have played at any level of any description and defended a corner to not understand that.

Your forgetting that he’s able to give his expert opinion on defending, as he was nearly a pro footballer himself.

Then the sedatives wore off and he woke up.

Calfiori also jumped into him while his arms were raised, almost trapping at least the left one.

O'brien didn't do much to try and get his hands down tho. That would be my only criticism

Self inflicted with McNeil, he needs to punt the useless crisp packet.

Can’t legislate for JOB turning into a Harlem GT, and we were in the game until the pen, but he needs to be a bit braver in tactics and selection, especially against the so called weaker teams.

Lad

Pulling down on players happens during every corner. If it were as simple as that to force a defender to handball it would happen many times per weekend. It doesn't because it isn't.
If you are claiming to have defended a lot of corners and were so easily duped into giving away pens then it goes some way to explaining why you are so bitter about football

In English?....

He showed his character last night throwing O'Brien under the bus and not taking the loss as a team loss. Anything to avoid saying he got it wrong.
JOB single handedly loses us the game and deserves criticism for that. Moyes had a lot of praise for our players apart from calling out a very dumb mistanke-and pointing out Obriens excuse, that he was pushed into it. Really hard to blame Moyes at this point i would say
