2025/26 David Moyes

I am not sure how much longer he is going to last with TFG tbh. They have to be thinking to themselves can we do better than this. Hill Dickinson is often becoming easy pickings for away teams now. I know Arsenal are the top team but lets be honest, they were not at their best and were there for the taking yesterday and we gifted them a pen, offered no threat whatsoever and questionable decisions and performances once again. We can blame Var and refs as much as we want and they have been bad but even without their influence we have often not been anywhere near good enough either way.

I will be surprised if he makes it to the end of the season.
Didn't you expect us to lose about 4 nil though . Was it not better then you expected then?

This just felt like another game where Moyes is so preoccupied beforehand about thinking how he can stop the opposition scoring, there’s not much consideration as to how we can score ourselves. We barely caused them any issues and he just did his standard substitutions at the standard times. He’s done a great job since he came back and we’re in a much better place than we were this time last year, but he will inevitably hit a glass ceiling with his over cautious outlook. Same as his bizarre comments after Newcastle thrashed us and he just said they’ve got miles better players.

I think we just played Arsenal. Im not sure I would put too much on one match, and would probably wait for a few more before reading much into it.
It's not 1 game though is it, explain what other assets charly has, he can't cover any other positions, and their is a reason for that. You take out 2 progressive players.
What does he offer on the pitch, without being face to goal around the 18yard box.

If people want safety and see Everton as a social forum for them to gather about in and have a drink and wear some blue gear, fine, he's your man.

If you want Everton to be a top club again he needs punting ASAP.

The feller will ALWAYS see Everton as a club that's second rate so he fits perfectly with the fans who slot into group 1 above.

They're welcome to each other.

Do one !!

We’ve been in relegation battles for the last few seasons and could have gone out of business last season before the Friedkins came in. Now we’re in the top 10 of the League at Christmas with our best defender having missed every game and our best attackers now missing too. We’re also on target for our best home points total for a few years. I’m not sure what some fans are expecting this season but I think some fans are expecting way too much in the first season after a takeover. The Friedkins will be looking for a solid season, a good transfer window in the summer and maybe a push for Europe next season.

His achilles heel on show again tonight. I'd much rather lose giving it a go then just playing submissive football especially being at home but Moyes can't change his natural inclinations of caution over ambition

5 outfield players out of 10. Tried for Tete, tried for McGinn. And I'll put it here as well as his thread in a bit, is it just me or does Alcaraz give some really dangerous possession away? Sometimes under the lightest of pressure. Getting to the point where Alcaraz floating around with the ball between the edge of the centre circle and the edge of their box is giving me heart palpitations. I've no idea what he'll do but the possibility of an emergency is setting all alarms off.
