2025/26 David Moyes

Why didn’t he just make some good changes and bring on prime KDB, prime R9 and prime Messi?

Oh yeah, because the remaining players he had on the bench where 2 keepers, 2 academy kids, a 19 year old who we were all told when we signed him is a signing for the future, and a rb that isn’t better than our other options at RB.

He subbed off what were probably the 3 players having the poorest games.

The way people talk on here as if he should be making better subs is comical.
yeah but it's a chance to manufacture an attack upon his character though. And such opportunities can't be passed up. :/

Moyes’ lack of ambition was underlined by him failing to bring on the 500 billion of talent languishing on the bench!

We're at home. We should be up for beating anyone who turns up. If you send out a team to have a go then crowd reacts to it. He is so scared of getting a hammering, he tries to shut up shop, and we invariably get pumped anyway.

In the circumstances where were just a goal down late on, he makes like for like substitutions that won't change a damn thing. His man management is woeful.

I grew up in a time when we'd win 16 or more home games a season even when we were off the pace. Maybe my expectations differ.
not saying it’s wrong to want that but it’s going to make you very unhappy watching Everton I’m afraid. That’s wildly unrealistic for us right now and if we played like we were the best team in the league we’d probably get relegated

Not Joe Royle or Ancelotti or Martinez in spells to be fair.
Joe had a great record against the RS for years. United, too - even at Wembley with a pot on the line. He was the last Everton manager - with the exception of Carlo (who played most matches behind closed doors) - who looked our former peers in the eye and didn't blink. Since then, it's been knife to a gunfight stuff for most of the time. The Kenwright Legacy.

100%- that was when the reds and Roy Evans started to lose it against us. Let’s not forget the semi final against hot favourites Spurs with Klinsmann and Sheringham. Joe put out an attacking line up and went at them even though we were missing big Dunc. There’s zero chance that Moyes would ever do that, he’s a coward of a manager imho.

The top 4/6 concept didn’t exist when Royle managed us. The expansion of the champions league increased the disparity and teams like Utd, Arsenal and Liverpool have pretty much been in a different league to us ever since. You’re completely clueless on football economics but carry on thinking a different manager will solve all our problems.
