Yeah they’ve lost to those giants in the game, Brentford, West Ham and Brighton in their last 3 away games.it's also true
We're not at their level, they're a CL club
though conceding in the 1st minute was negligent at best

Yeah you can hear Clough or Shankly or Kendall trotting out the same excuses as Moyes can’t you! Absolute whopper, completely average manager as those after match comments show.Any number of things. Just say it was a tough night and we were outplayed on the day, you don’t have to make out like losing to a side that hasn’t won an away game all season, was below us in the table, and haven’t been us in the last 4 games, was a foregone conclusion. Its not difficult really.
Honestly TFG booting the DOF role because Moyes insisted on it was most probably worse than appointing him in the first place. I’m not even convinced he was their plan B.Well, I was amazed that their Plan B was to bring in Moyes last January. Don't get me wrong, he did a good job getting us safe, but it showed how unprepared they were for Dyche's departure and how unambitious their thinking was. Then came the summer transfer window when they didn't even have their own team in place, let alone trying to buy a new one. Fellas were still on gardening leave in August...
They spent a bit of money - they had to - but on what? €80m of it is sitting on the bench or missing sitters.
Deeply unimpressive so far.
You’re not getting any success appointing a mediocre manager and putting him in charge of transfers.Come on guys, we finished last season strong under Moyes. Over the summer, we lost around 10 players and bought so many new players in, some have worked and some will take time to work. Moyes has had one real transfer window, we know what positions we need to get players in next window, it’s going to take time ! We aren’t going to get instant success !
Newcastle aren’t a poor team, they’ve been poor away from home but they beat City comfortably last week and are just out of the top 8 in the CL.Not sure why he was praising Newcastle tonight, I thought they were abysmal. It was an embarrassing scoreline against such a poor team.
Playing two slow centre backs is a conscious choice though, given JOB is quicker than Branthwaite.Intensity always comes from the management team and how they want the team to play. Problem we have is having 2 slow centre backs so we can never press high as we'll get caught out having to play a high defensive line
Those sort of comments might have been acceptable under BK but I hope we don`t see it being accepted now. I think our big problem is that the way he sets the team up the two defensive midfielders we play are never strong enough to stop teams walking through us with very little effort. Moyes needs to change his set up to fix this problem but he is short of options in that area with Gana`s legs going and Tim not stepping up, and the fact that Moyes is not one for changing his tactic.I could accept him saying we had a bad night. I could accept him saying our performance was poor. I can't accept him saying we can't expect to compete against a team that barely ever wins an away game. I thought he was moving forward having praised the players on Monday rather than trying to take the credit himself, his usual MO, but this is back to shopping at Aldi, knife to a gunfight bs, which is why I didn't want him back.
Brilliant one mate, one of my favourite games, but that’s because Joe Royle went for it.Not the Spurs one. A great day!
I question whether we are better. Certainly based on last season’s PPG if we were better we’d be on at least 22 pointsVery slightly. Nothing significant
We should have improved far more than we did. The summer business was disorganised and we wasted money.
Nice non-answer. I'll repeat the question for clarity. Is Moyes the man who can help us beat the teams with bigger, better and more experienced squads, like you've said many times (I'll vault you if you insist), OR is he powerless to defeat a modestly better and out of form side at home such as Newcastle, like he said in his shameful and spineless self-serving post-match interview, that you paradoxically supported despite your earlier comments? That’s not what my wife said!
Seriously though, any club has bad results. You just have to dust yourself off and move on.
I thought they were crap today.Newcastle aren’t a poor team, they’ve been poor away from home but they beat City comfortably last week and are just out of the top 8 in the CL.
I thought they were nothing special too, sadly, they just wanted it more than every Everton player, and our manager it seems.I thought they were crap today.
What got me the most was the fact that he just gave up trying to influence the game! He sat on the bench for large parts of the second half doing sweet fa.I thought they were nothing special too, sadly, they just wanted it more than every Everton player, and our manager it seems.
Some team talk Davey must have gave them before the game eh….
Even their fans were surprised, "how **** must you be, we're winning away" rang out at 2-0.I thought they were nothing special too, sadly, they just wanted it more than every Everton player, and our manager it seems.

Makes it worse - their fanbase is second only to the RS for being horrific scumbags.Even their fans were surprised, "how **** must you be, we're winning away" rang out at 2-0.
