2025/26 David Moyes

Not sure how much you can blame a manager for when players are missing tap ins and 2 vs 1s.

At a certain point you have to see a system works if it’s creating chances, the players not converting are the problem. We win that easily 3-1 or 2-1 with PL standard players, manager’s plan worked.
No offence but that’s just such a simplistic way of looking at things. It’s easy to focus on us missing one properly good chance and pretend that’s the entire issue but we’ve just been absolutely pulverised for an hour by a newly promoted team, barely getting out of our own half, and we haven’t kept a clean sheet in our last 7 games. Our issues are much, much bigger than just not having a 12 goal a season striker.

What the hell has he done to the team? Prior to the September break we looked good, Villa was a labour we should have won, we were well out the Derby before we could play, the Wolves cup game happened, we hit out run by a team with one session under a new manager, first half v Palace and then the last 3

He has to, has to drop Tarks, maybe even KDH and do something different on Saturday or he’ll be out over the November break

Stood and watched Sunderland dominate the entire second half, did nothing to change how we were playing and was seemingly happy and hopeful for a point by putting a plodding, woeful, monoped McNeil on for the injured Ndiaye instead of being braver. Garner finishes at right back again but today Gana stays on while the “go-to” sub Rohl doesn’t get a sniff? Iroegbunam who had disappeared since he came on and changed the game against Palace gets 10 minutes… Dibling the new outcast?…

Make it make sense.

Serious questions have to be asked today, he can’t be popular in the dressing room, waste of a sub with Barry to Beto, not changing anything and no rohl or dibling, what do they have to do? McNeil sub was also woeful, awful cameo and nothing changes, getting fed up.
Rinse & repeat knows nothing better clueless!

Had a bit of a nightmare there Davey, £35m player on the bench and doesn’t get a sniff
I don't see how that is tenable. For a club that needed to fill positions on the pitch, are we really to believe we spunked more than half the budget on the "future" when we had nothing for the present?

I don't see how Moyes can keep his job if he signed off on those signings - and we are told he did - and then refuses to play these guys. Alcaraz, Dibling, and Barry cost about 75m between them. He started one of them tonight and whipped him off as soon as he could. He's not getting the most out of these new players and he continues to play an honest trooper who did sterling work out of position last season, Jake O'Brien, when it was clear he needed to be relieved of that selfless job.

He's making players worse - not better. The two strikers have zero confidence because they know the manager holds them in contempt. He's kept on the likes of Coleman for no discernible benefit. Are we really to believe he is improving things behind the scenes as we slide into the bottom six?

Moyes should have been thanked in the summer and moved on. But the Friedkins were simply unprepared for the chaos they bought into. Moyes will soon be gone, whether by Christmas after defeat in the Dyche derby, or in May. But I see no reason to think the new overlords have a plan if Angus Kinnear is anything to go by. Still, Baz on Toffeee TV flashed his eyelashes at him, so maybe I'm being harsh.

I thought something was up my telly when I saw McNeil getting stripped to come on. What the absolute ****.

The media need to start asking him the tough questions, we've spent loads in the summer and he's using the squad terribly. You can say some of the signings have been bad but we ripped up our entire DoF structure at his demand and installed all his scouts. Bad recruitment is firmly on him.

All goes back to the wolves game. Absolutely ruined our start to the season. The rest is extremely predictable.

That league cup game killed all momentum we had.
