2025/26 David Moyes

Not sure how much you can blame a manager for when players are missing tap ins and 2 vs 1s.

At a certain point you have to see a system works if it’s creating chances, the players not converting are the problem. We win that easily 3-1 or 2-1 with PL standard players, manager’s plan worked.
We had one goal attempt between the 28th minute and the 80th? minute.

Game was there for the taking in the second half. I’ve got all the sympathy in the world when Harrison and Lindstrom are blowing out their arses after 90 mins and you’ve got nothing on the bench but when you’re leaving Dibling and Rohl on the bench and waiting until 84tg min for Alcaraz and Iroegbunam it’s a different story.

How did Gueye get 96 mins, absolutely ridiculous.

We should of been about 3-0 up in the firat 30 minutes and it took Sunderland a massively flucky goal to get a point. Thats my positives from the game.

The bad, jesus christ where do you start. KDH was shocking again, that lad isnt a 10. Once they started getting the ball to xhaka we didnt have a clue what to do. Ndiaye faded in the second half again. It felt like the idea was to press high and score a couple of goals then sit back and hit them on the counter but we didnt score the second goal and everyone was blowing out there arse after 30 minutes.

Subs should of been made at half time. McNeil?????? Bloody McNeil?! That should be a stackable offense right there.

It feels like we've been absolutely mauled by essentially a promoted team that was thrown together in the summer and we were lucky to get a point. But at the same time i dont really feel like Sunderland had any real chances.

We by far had the better opportunities and if wed of taken them we'd of won.

Hopefully moyes persists with barry for a few more games because beto came on and did nothing. Yes barry missed a sitter but he had decent game apart from that and he's obviously going to he rusty infront of goal.

He's scared to make a sub and will take a draw over a chance of winning

No offence but that’s just such a simplistic way of looking at things. It’s easy to focus on us missing one properly good chance and pretend that’s the entire issue but we’ve just been absolutely pulverised for an hour by a newly promoted team, barely getting out of our own half, and we haven’t kept a clean sheet in our last 7 games. Our issues are much, much bigger than just not having a 12 goal a season striker.
Spot on.

The endless swapping around of Beto & Barry just so he can stick to his 'tried & trusted' 4-2-3-1 despite neither of them looking like Premier League-level footballers currently let alone strikers is killing us alone..
