2025/26 David Moyes

Chermiti was just a bizarre piece of recruitment full stop. He isn't good enough for a bad rangers team.

He looked like he was becoming a player before his long-term injury, but definitely in the moment we bought him and with the small budget we had back then, it was a very bizarre transfer.

Jep, you made that well over the time, my respect for that.

But there is a net spend of +27 mio in the last 2 years. You cannot replace Eze or Olise with a player on the same level as Palace that's sure, but backing not really.
After two administrations since 2000 we won't be going down the Moshri road. The net £27m will be more than wiped out when Guehi goes for nothing in the summer, and we still won a major trophy (and a minor one).

We played way better football under Royle, Martinez, Koeman and Silva.

That's for sure.

No need to go back to the 80s.

Moyes is a horrendous manager who reaches for the hoof because he cant coach players to pass the ball to feet.

His greatest success at this club has been to dumb down our support base to believe a direct ball pumped up front is the only way...this season that's changed a bit - and I'm guessing it's because the owners he has to impress to keep his job want the football played on the deck.

Nobody wants a long ball based game, but i do want quicker transition. Tho that comes with having the right players to fill their roles.
Our transition dies because we don't have adequate options ahead of us, nobody making space/runs for a forward pass.

Passing to feet requires 11 players comfortable receiving the ball. We don't have that..

You live in a bloody dreamworld, one min the fanbase is being fooled into this hoof ball system all his career and now he's going change his whole approach to please owners.

Grow up mate, if he's so set in his ways, he isn't changing for a couple of new employees, when he could comfortably walk away from the game, holding his head up that he didnt bow down and change to anyone. Wake up!!!

As I've said before we have what I consider to the 15th-17th best squad in the league, and it's looking pretty tight down to 17th at the moment. If we don't add any players to the squad I confidently expect that we'll finish between 15th and 17th, which would be a par score.

It's a mid table squad (9th-12th). The big sky 6, Newcastle and Villa are top 8 in terms of quality.

There's about another 8 below that at a similar level without much quality depth. No way Brentford, Leeds or Bournemouth have better squads than Everton, let alone the bottom 3.

We need better quality forward passers besides Garner (who's good but not top quality) and we need forwards who have good movement.

When you dont have that the solution is not to shrug your shoulders and say "Oh well, may as well launch it long then". The solution is to get the quality into MF and attack.

Moyes use of subs or lack of squad depth?

…or a bit of both

You have just suggested putting Michael Keane up front

Needs to just start being a little more positive in his play, it's all safety first and I think that affects the players massively, more focused on not losing the ball than they were taking risks with chance creation.

Also stop with the two goalies on the bench thing,

Even if he isn't going to use them put some kids who are doing well on the bench just for the experience

I repeat: dont accept the Big Lie about being 'short of players'.

Pickford £30M
Mykolenko £17M
Tarkowski
O'Brien £17M
Keane £30M
Aznou £8M
Garner £15M
Alcaraz £12M
Rohl £17M
Iroegbunam £9M
Armstrong
Grealish
Barry £27M
Beto £30M
McNeill £20M
Dibling £42M

Dont let a poor manager excuse poor results.
