I don't understand posts like this. If he's doing great, why would you love a new younger manager? What's missing from Moyes? Youth?

Tim will be a available for the next game, I expect Moyes brings him back in & moves KDH up to 10 again in place of Alcarez which would be really annoying.

It was said when he was here first time round if he had just had the backing he could have taken us further. He moved to Man Ure, had the players & the backing.

His ceiling is what it is, he is great for where we are & is doing a very decent job but he isn’t the elite manager for the elite stadium.

He didn't have the players or the backing at Utd. The squad was full of bitches like Rio Ferdinand who were never having him and they didn't get him any of his main targets. That squad was also falling to bits and City were just emerging as a power.

Don’t disagree with this at all & as I said Moyes is doing a good job for where we. I haven’t seen any evidence his ceiling has changed in any way significantly from the last time he was here.

He always did best when he had less options squad wise, always did well at rehabilitating out of favour players, always went for experience over youth, always bottled games against the top 4 etc etc.

Man U away was a step in the right direction & how he approaches Chelsea & Arsenal may demonstrate that his mindset has indeed changed and that he can set up & convey this to the team. His comments after Newcastle indicated otherwise.

Will be very happy to be proved wrong.

What is that ceiling? Champions League qualification and a European trophy? That would do for starters.

Even with good footballers in midfield he still reverts to type with the direct stuff. These managers like Allardyce who moan they have to play a certain way because of the players limitations are total bluffers as they do the same thing even when managing better players

Still the only manager in the last 20 plus years who can consistently puts us above Liverpool. Many others have splashed the cash and tried, and failed miserably. Still gets overlooked cos he never had brown shoes or scored work due free kicks. Hopefully one day he will get the credit he deserves.

Experience makes managers better. Bobby Robson, Alex Ferguson and Trapattoni are perfect examples.

I think he’s a fairly intelligent guy, but when it comes to his footballing instincts, despite his career results, he is only wired one way and can’t or won’t change that. Strange really, if most people knew their ‘tried and trusted’ ways were constantly producing minimal / under performing results, at some point they would change them….he doesn’t which would suggest misplaced arrogance and narcissism.
