2025/26 David Moyes

Did some digging and found out that in the last 10 seasons, of any teams in the top 6 with 24 points or more after 15 games played, pretty much every single one of them went on to qualify for Europe. In fact, no one at all in the top 6 after matchweek 15 has finished outside the top 8. Food for thought
Is this another “Everton First” for the stadium tour?

He's doing very well with what hes got.....

Anyone can see we're crying out for a proper right back and a competent attacking left back to fully unleash grealish...

Bar thierno turning into prime drogba we also need a capable goalscorer.....

Like so many moyes sides before we're 2-3 players away from being a top top side

Lets see after Palace, United and Brighton games today

Just hope no one comes sniffing around for Skilliman, Branthwaite or KDH in Jan or the summer.
“I also know that if I'd been Everton manager and Sir Alex had come asking for Leighton Baines and Marouane Fellaini, I'd have found it very difficult to keep them because I always felt the right thing to do was what was right for the players”
Let's hope Moyes sole focus on prioritising the interests of his current employers continues. We need more of that ruthless mindset at the club.

We clocked up over 70 points under Martinez in his first season and manage to still miss out on CL, which might have been a record total of points for a team not making CL.

Current points per game would be enough for about 61 points. That would be a little bit above what I'd hoped/expected for this season.

The variable this season is how tight the league is - a couple of good/bad results are enough to swing between about 5th and 14th at the moment, I can't remember a season like it.

I'd still be happy with about 10th, but think I'm going to be more focused on how many points we end up on. 55-ish would be about what I'd hoped for

He really does get the best out of a squad when it's down to it's bare bones. His issues seem to be when he has options.

I really hope he doesn't look at moving KDH in a more advanced role, he's been absolutely fantastic driving forward with the ball from a deeper position and still finding those spaces for opportunities to score.

I've got a feeling Gueye will be straight back in against Chelsea and Alcaraz dropped in favour of KDH in that advanced position.

The press have been selling Branthwaite for us, for three seasons, so they were always like to start focusing on the likes of Ndiaye.

" He should be playing for a bigger team, let`s invent some interest in him for click bait "

They spent the whole of one Summer going into great detail about how Branthwaite was going to Man U if you remember !

It`s not just us, they`re currently doing the exact same thing with Elliot Anderson at Forest and to a lesser extent James Garner.

That's manageria hara-kiri.

Moyes is keeping skeptics like me very happy at the moment. He's getting results with the bare bones. The terror for people like me is when he has options he gets less than the sum of their parts out of them. And that is an indictment, because it means clubs are wasting money giving this fella big money to play with.

The KDH positional decision is the one that will set the tone. Gueye left his team-mates down at United. He needs to see he doesn't walk straight back into this side - he hasn't been missed. And he certainly doesn't come back in by moving KDH back up the pitch. If Moyes does that, well, all of the doubts will crystalise.

For now, though, he's been great with few options. Classic Moyes. It's why I never understood why United - of all clubs - thought he was the right fit for them.

Oh yes, appease some idiots by getting rid of the club’s best manager in ages.

“some idiots” sadly makes up a very large portion of our fanbase. As I’ve said, some people will go around the houses to make excuses for results because they simply don’t like the manager. Long may he continue shoving it down their throats like, it’s great to see, it won’t make them back down and change their opinions but it’s very funny crack for the forum.
