2025/26 David Moyes

Some of the Moyes haters conveniently forget that between the first week of November and late December Bournemouth went 11 games without a win. So if Moyes had been sacked before the January window how many would have been drooling over Iraola as his replacement then?
People say they had a better season, but we could've easily matched that. We just ran out of games at the end of the season.

You could argue how many games did DM win in his last 10 games & blow a European spot ?

For anyone who was claiming Paddy Boyland was a Moyes sycophant, he rated the season a C- which I think is a pretty accurate summation.
Here's his season review

"Most important of all, though, will be what happens with Moyes, with his contract up next summer.

Kinnear publicly backed him before Sunderland, with Everton set to assess the situation at the end of the season. Clarity would be helpful."

Doesn't seem 100% guaranteed that he'll be here in August
C- is way too generous.

Classic example of essentially meaningless ‘whataboutery’ being presented as some sort of ‘gotcha’ moment , but failing miserably.

Not at all it was a moment in time. The Moyes out brigade would have had head explosions if Iraola had been put in place then. As he may be on his way across the park it's possibly moot anyway but it just highlights the knee jerk reactions online.

30 years of winning nothing, and 13 years with this loser is not knee jerk, its cold hard evidence he isnt good enough.

But some happy clappers think he is going to change a 20 year habit next season hahahaaha

It doesn’t really illustrate anything.
Other than the increasingly partisan nature of this debate perhaps.
Our home form was relegation quality in both performances and results , some of which were abysmal.
This is as much a driving factor in the increased dissatisfaction with our current manager as the disappointing finish.
The fact we have endured his defence heavy, conservative tactics for cumulatively well over a decade now , with nothing to show for it makes his tenure increasingly dispiriting.
