2025/26 David Moyes

In some areas yes but I think the squad is shockingly short.

This summer coming is the 1st for this so called transfer comittee.
I'm expecting big movements this summer in and out.

Changing manager now would not be a good idea to me.
Let him see his year out as is the plan.
It will be a waste of a year. Life is too short and everton have had enough medoictoy to last a life time. Be a proper club. Sack him and find someone who is more progressive in their coaching. I promise you, it wouldn't be difficult.

That last owner was clown and a shitshow but to his credit he (appears) to have had ten times the ambition of the current lot. As soon as they handed him a 2 year contract your heart should have sank, as an everton fan. That was a dreadful start and a massive red flag for the future.

He gets until next summer as his only goal is not to get us relegated.
Too much work needed doing off the pitch to expect instant results on the field.

Have you noticed the owners haven't been seen yet. Well that's because they also aren't expecting anything yet.

Us fans can complain all we want but these owners have a 3/4 year plan to get us in the CL and they are keen to stick to it.

And simeone was open to coming to us for the right price but we bottled it.

Just goes to show you though where managers will go for the right price.

Look at Emery and villa.

Villa had just recently come up and were nothing but relegation fodder and he went to them. One of the best managers in the world, 1was managing a top team in spain and in the champions league. Left that to go manage a recently promoted side bouncing around the relegation zone in the premier league.
Simeone ?

I’m not sure I agree with that really. Emery came in when they were 17th, having finished 17th, 11th, and 14th in the 3 seasons since they came up, I’m not entirely sure where the idea that they were clearly a really good side but had just underperformed for a couple of months has come from.

Obviously now that some of them are playing at the level they are we maybe see it a bit differently but if you’re going to sit here and tell me that 4 years ago you thought Matty cash, Tyrone mings, Ezri Konsa, John McGinn, Leon Bailey, and emi Buendia was the basis of a side that would secure multiple CL qualifications and a European trophy then I’m afraid I just don’t believe you. Maybe it was the likes of the since departed regulars from that season like Ashley young, Calum chambers, leander dendoncker and Danny ings that you thought were fantastic?

I stand by it. They had a good team that was underperforming in the league and the manager quickly sorted it out.

My main point is not even about how good Villa were. It's how poor our squad is now. The level of Mykolenko, O'Brien (at RB), Tarkowski, Keane and McNeil is relegation battles. We're also having a 36 year old start every game he's fit together with two centre forwards that are nowhere near good enough to lead the line.

We then have Dibling, Alcaraz, Armstrong, Rohl and Iroegbunam who it's impossible to say are good enough due to a lack of football. Right now, if you had to guess, you'd say they'd have a tough time starting regularly for a team trying to get into the top 10. The sad thing is their stock is probably quite high amongst supporters due to the fact we haven't seen them on the pitch much.

That leaves us with Pickford, an injury prone Brainthwaite, KDH, Ndiaye and Garner as our standout players.

I just don't see it as a squad a manager comes into and has an easy time improving. It needs so much work, especially in the full back areas where the drop off in quality has to be the worst in the entire division.

Of course, new players would be needed but put Emery in charge of this squad and you would see a huge difference. He wouldn't get CL but we would look and be miles better off. Some of the players you think are [Poor language removed] would actually look like footballers.

Nothing is more important at the club than the head coach, and sadly ours is very limited, dinosaur in football terms. He's no better than he was 25 years ago. He wasn't even that good back then, and the game has passed him by massively. He's never learned or got better. Too much ego for that.

I mean, that's completely against what the CEO said but, sure, make crap up.
