Personally I don't give a toss what Kinnear said. They could absolutely still move him on if they wanted to, Kinnear could follow him out the door and I wouldn't be remotely bothered.

Kinnear has to say he is coming back, whether or not that was true at that time or will be true next week. Once the season is over, we shall see. By no means is anything he says iron clad. That’s a manager passing the blame to the players and deflecting from himself. Maybe his negative tactics and team selections have contributed to our bottling a good chance of getting into the top 8.

Can hardly be surprised at Moyes's comments, he's always been like that.

But it's his reputation on the line next season if things get worse - which they easily could do. He can say what he wants - if he wants that reputation intact, he's going to have to pull his finger out.

Partially of course. I mean, it’s open to interpretation but I don’t think he is trying to excuse himself or the team. It’s just we aren’t good enough at the moment and need to improve in the summer.
