2025/26 David Moyes

Disgraceful

3 games against Sunderland no win
2 games against Burnley 1 win
2 games against Leeds no win

1 win in 7 against the promoted sides
Teams in the bottom 4

2 games against wolves, 1 win
2 games against Burnley, 1 win
2 games against West Ham, 0 wins
1 game against Spurs, 0 wins

2 wins out of 12 against newly promoted sides and teams at the bottom of the league table

….not having Europe might just be a plus. Also, I’d imagine a few more Saturday 3pm kick-offs. Of course much depends on the transfer window.
"the aim is Europe next year" also "not having Europe might be a plus" also the reason why we don't have Europe next season is because Moyes bottled it like he almost always does.

Butterfly effect but if Van Dijk’s goal doesn’t go in, the last few games go in a different direction

Manager and players have dropped the ball big time
The late goals are a theme which have crept in over the past month or so. It's a symptom of a team that are run into the ground. That's something we could control across the year, bit the manager has stuck with the same small group of players all year.

There’s zero unpredictability about Moyes style of football. It’s too easy to defend against. Football by numbers. Always playing percentages and never devises any attacking drills or patterns. Laboured passing. His style of football never succeeds when the onus is on us to break the opposition down. It’s pre-historic stuff.

Or as it's better known by, Dinosaur tactics mate.

I do think with a following wind and a bit of luck he can keep us up next season, especially if Hull are promoted, although they would of course beat us at home.
