2025/26 David Moyes

The fact that Moyes has won the most European games in our entire history proves how stupid whatever point you think you're making is.

Kendall never lost a game in Europe.

You trying to say Moyes is better?

Dwight McNeil has played more games for Everton than Kanchelskis. He is better???

What has Moyes won as manager for Everton?

The thing that frustrates me about Moyes is the same issues have continuously plagued us this season, players being winded due to lack of rotation, errors at the back from his preferred cb duo when Branthwaite is injured, lack of attacking coherence as our Cbs offer nothing and don't overlap leaving our wingers isolated, lack of timely substitutions, reliance on players who don't deliver , no tactical variety where he becomes predictable and he does nothing to address this flaws. Every manager encounters problems but he just has rarely been introspective this season

And this is another fair point. There’s no denying that this season has been a very hard watch, whether the manager has “stabilised” us or not. There’s nothing more irritating to me either then those coming out with the b0llocks “careful what you wish for, look at West Ham”.

But it doesn’t have to be a case of Moyes or a relegation battle does it? Just because West Ham have ballsed things up post Moyes, doesn’t mean we have to as well! What’s wrong with having some actual ambition, and having a good go at getting an even better manager than Moyes? One that plays entertaining attacking football in to the bargain?

Of course it could go wrong, everything is a risk to a degree. But if you don’t take that risk and stick with a “safe pair of hands” albeit boring, then you’re never going to be anything other than mid table nothingness.

I want to enjoy watching us play football again at weekends. I simply don’t at the moment, it’s a chore.

I don't think Moyes is better than Kendall and I don't think McNeil is better than Kanchelskis.

I just think that your stat about Moyes losing the most games in Europe means absolutely nothing when he is also the manager who has won the most games.

You can find it irritating but it's still a valid argument. Just as yours is that you think it's worth rolling the dice in the hope it kicks us on.

Personally I believe it's been a good year of stability after anything but in the previous seasons. It's also my most enjoyable year of watching Everton for a long time. Last two games have been goals galore.

IMO it's a lot down to age. No Everton fan who witnessed the 80s or even Joe's cup success will fall for the utter bunkum that comes out of Moyes' grid.

We're just too experienced for that; been round the block too many times to fall for someone like Moyes who's trying to frighten everyone to death that we need to move slowly...oh, and with HIM in charge of it all, surprise surprise.

No grifter like Moyes will ever pull the wool over my eyes.
