I won't, it's not a real trophy. It's a pre-season friendly.
Fairs. What about the Mamma Mia Bill Kenwright Productions Dancing On Ice Gatorade SpongeBob The Movie Euro Extravangaza Cup?

Not really. Expectations get re-set all the time. It’s called context. To be beholden to a set of expectations laid out 9 months earlier is not appropriate. In business there will be objectives, a plan and then throughout the financial year there are re-forecasts. There is no reason why, in the current state of the PL we couldn’t at one stage have hoped for a little more.No. We had the season, it ebbs and flows. At one point we were went on a run, but we have lost our star players and never bought anyone else in… so to reset it upwards would have been a bit daft.
When we spend money on transfers
When we spend money on salaries
Then you can expect better
At the minute you can hope for a good season, but more than that is like naive.
Not necessarily. Could be runners up to double winners in the cup. Now that would be so EvertonMate. If we're competing for the community shield it means we will have won an actual trophy with a string of victories against teams fully up to speed with the season. The community shield is a pre-season friendly, it's on a par with those pre-season tournaments composed entirety of PL teams that are played in the US, Japan, Australia, wherever. Does the Florida cup count as a trophy?
It's amazing that little old Everton are even in the conversation for Europe you know?
Okay mate, we'll just never win anything as we're only good for the CL obviously. Spoiled for trophies, I've not seen us win a raffle in over 20 years, and likely won't for another 5-6, but let's pretend this is a bad one to win. I suppose if we're in it you won't watch or go to any games?Mate. Are any of my stats wrong?
Prove them wrong.
At least that requires you to win more than one game, I suppose. I agree it's not the most impressive trophy to win but at least it's a multi-round competition in the regular season. I do give Moyes credit for winning that, just not as much as some others.Fairs. What about the Mamma Mia Bill Kenwright Productions Dancing On Ice Gatorade SpongeBob The Movie Euro Extravangaza?
Ah yeah, true enough. I'd take second in the league, mind. Not necessarily. Could be runners up to double winners in the cup. Now that would be so Everton![]()
Haha your sarcasm detector not working Mooms?Something that Kenwright would try and spoon feed us that.
Stop trying to downplay us as a club.
I don't know what you're on about. I want us to win everything. The FA cup, the league cup, the league, any euro trophy. I just don't give a toss about the community shield. Nonsense.

Just ridiculous that you're basing them as an argument against the manager. I guess Alex Ferguson has the most European defeats in United's history as well. What a terrible manager he was.
Ferguson won trophies for United. A lot of them.
Moyes took his league winning team and finished them in there lowest ever position in the Premier League at the time.
Prove that wrong, and the stats I said earlier.
I thought the reasonable expectation was that we’d be better than last year and build towards next year. First one true, second one I don’t see it. The squad has a couple of different players but by and large the squad hasn’t improved throughout the year, young players haven’t been brought through and we enter the summer with a squad that is simply one season older than when we started, no better or worse. Not really.
