2025/26 David Moyes

I don't think Moyes has ever praised anything about Rohl past his Athleticism, It was this thread that built him up into so kind of superhuman..
Na everything leaked out of the club including to the itks was he was some kind of beast, it wasn't just self manufactured here.
The exact moyes quote a few weeks after signing him:
“We've been really impressed with what we've seen from Merlin. Certainly, his physicals are something else, they really are, so there's lots about him we like,”

Compare that to anything hes ever said about dibling.

Would you not give him another season?

If the understanding was that it's his last it might be tolerable. However that assurance wont be given, so unless he qualifies for Europe I think the best thing all round is for him and us to go our separate ways.

If he stays on I can almost guarantee next season we'll see a real backlash against Moyes.

Moyes isn't a bad manager he isn't a great manager. He can get results when there's no pressure such as winning at Newcastle away or beating Chelsea at home, when he has to get a result especially against big sides he doesn't do very well. His stubbornness not to give certain players a chance and to not change things during games is another of his flaws. I could tolerate us losing today if he made changes, but to stick with McNeil and certain others is ridiculous.

We don’t know the expectation our owners have of him , but I think it is reasonable to expect European qualification to be a minimal requirement for the investment.
As good as our away record has been our home record has been very poor , that must also be a factor when his immediate future is considered.
He has brought a certain level of stability, but we don’t give the impression we are about to kick on from this position.
He is a strong mid table manager , is that going to be enough for our owners ?
Perhaps.

I hope not!

Rising ticket prices and cost of living in general, we need to see something for it not just bouncing between 8th-14th year after year, and getting dumped out of cups early on.

Get rid this summer.

We are basically back to the Carlo years, if we get Europe then great, if we don't then it is at best a wasted season. No improved style of play, no development of youngsters, a high earner on a ludicrous amount of money.

For all the criticism of Moshiri, year one of TFG project is actually not that far away from his vision of just win at all costs
