2025/26 David Moyes

I agree at the moment as there is nobody else but we need another keeper mate. The defence is shaky at corners as we loose a header it’s generally a goal. He’s a line keeper. He flaps at crosses. Teams are doing it because it’s a weakness of his and the team.
Keepers we have are poor as well. Needs addressing.
We’ve conceded too many from corners. I can think of 5 straight away. One is too many.
Soucheck (aka their dangerman) left unmarked was the issue. Great ball in by the way. If you really think Pickford needs replacing then I’m at a loss mate

When Beto isn’t fit, I don’t see the only other option is starting Barry. There is creativity to be had in the squad. Moyes just won’t do it. Alcaraz, George, Tim all could play striker. Why not? It’s clear Moyes knows Barry isn’t the answer. Try something else if, in Moyes’ mind, it’s a foregone conclusion Barry will struggle.

Were they? Wow, it appears we are owned by more clowns without a clue about football. Worrying times.
It’s not true. They were happy to let him see out the season and get one of their main targets in the summer, but hand forced in January. They wanted to give Moyes a 1.5 yr deal, so he’d be out of contract in 6 weeks, but he pushed for a 2.5yr which is his right. Kinnear wanted Iraola at Leeds and TFG like Fabregas, two tough appointments, but let’s hope they have ambition.

All this nonsense about they don’t care about us, just here to flip us, happy to just survive in the prem, only care about Roma, needs to stop until that’s proven.

I feel like the view of the vast majority (on here at least) was - If we get European football then there's no way we can let Moyes go. If we bottle Europe and finish bottom half then we should move on.

We're not qualifying for Europe now, no chance.
Many of us see no hope with Moyes. Therefore, if he surprised us by getting into Europe - and pretty much half the league qualifies - then people, being fair, think it reasonable he stays on and has a go. However, failing that pleasant surprise, our hoplessness has been vindicated once more - and Moyes has not brought on the young players he spent a small fortune on - a huge chunk of the available budget - last summer.

Time to say goodbye.

Everton is like any other football club. It needs to be built back up and needs some stability. That’s what Moyes can provide.

People need to show a bit of patience. That was something like the second away defeat in a year.

No football club had a divine right to anything.
He’s done the that very well but I’m worried he’s letting talent rot due to his reliance on the same 11

We've had 30 years of patience. Son of Bill is a busted flush and central to this last 30 years. The jig is up.

Our fans are the only thing that have kept the club going and Moyes is the best manager we've had in the last 20 years.
We haven’t won anything or consistently challenged for anything in that time while smaller clubs have won things , he’s the best of a very average bunch. Bar Carlo obviously

Not a right, an expectation. Staying up is not an achievement. To compare us as a club to Fulham is insulting.

I agree, mate. They’re clearly stepping up in funding and cleaning the books of PSR. They aren’t recruiters and they’re not selecting the team. I’m fine with TFG. They’ve given the club the tools they need. Others need to be as effective in their roles.

Hodgson stopped Palace from getting relegated. And what he did at Fulham was marvelous. He was similarly excellent at West Brom.

In fact, Hodgson is a Palace fan and had a huge had in getting them where they are.

In fact, Palace fans say:

“Hodgson was the man who could be trusted to keep Palace in the top flight while having minimal resources, which has allowed the club to build a sustainable model that exists now.”

Midtable?
