Zat please tell me that's not true. That poisonous rag is all that's wrong with the world!

Sorry treacle, you must be replying to a rat. I have most of the rats on ignore.

They have the attitude and insight of an Osman pearoller, the voice and mouselike squeak of Carragher and of course the intelligence of that manc who hasnt cut his hair.

From Chico's message I'd guess its something about the mail?

Great paper if you're overseas and want a snapshot of the UK news and football.

Speaking of the Mail have a read of this.

So sorry to the Moyes H8ers on here, they’ve been absolutely licked. It’s the biggest shiz on I’ve ever seen on this forum. No wonder the anti Moyes posters are all in hiding.

Think you need a subscription.

So i popped it into the Friedkin thread earlier.

Would have done it sooner but took a nap after reading it ;)

Love to see an off the cuff selection of quick fire questions with;

Dibling
Aznou
Armstrong
Rohl
George
Barry
Branthwaite
Patterson

Hidden camera for honest answers.

Its all setup by the media department.

The players arent just pulled into a room and interviewed. They arent giving off the cuff answers.

When theyre signed they all say the same things. When they're interviewed on the manager they're all saying the same things.

Its all fake. Some will mean what they say as they were in bad spots until he rescued them (Grealish, KDH, Keane etc).

But lets not believe these interviews arent scripted by billion pound companies.

So, it isn't all fake. Some will mean it, exactly like the players interview you were responding to.

Some of the greatest managers that have ever lived will have annoyed some players. You cannot please everybody. There are only 11 spots on the pitch at any give time. There are going to be players who think they are deserving of more, some are going to think that they are being treated badly on and off the pitch.

That is life, it is not the massive win for the anti Moyes crowd, that they think it is, to say 'Well, some people may not like him as much as others'.

I feel that the majority of ex players have said nice things about him to relative extents. They still regard him as somebody who helped them massively, who they respect, but for every Cahill, Osman, Arteta, Yakubu, Fellaini, Jagielka there will be a player who does not like him, maybe even despises him.

Behind a paywall - workarounds are available I hear but I wouldn't know anything about that - but a couple of genuinely promising things in here. Daily Mail obv but it's clearly just a completely briefed article from the club.

- implication that we won't be quite so obsessed with Prem experience this summer (utilising a specific thing from that data company the Friedkins bought that supposedly shows how well players from other leagues might adapt)
- Moyes still having final say but somewhat focused around 'intangibles' like attitude etc
- more experienced players targeted this summer, but no indication whether that means '24 and up' or '27 and up' or otherwise

Well you've just outed yourself as a mail subscriber 🤣 as you have to pay to read that article. What a Tory.

I notice their photo has one our players looking like he's throwing a siege heil. In brand for that rag 😋

The main takeaway is they are bigging up being "aggressive" in the window with "five first-team ready" players incoming. We were told we needed 10 last year. Did we get them?

Moyes will earn that extension if he makes Europe - and this piece suggests they are very keen for Europe to happen. But this summer, for me, is all about seeing their true ambition. Two things I want to see: 1. We get players in early. Not all of them, of course, but if we are going to meet that target of five new first teamers, I'd like to see three in by the end of July at a minimum. 2. We get quality that comes straight in to the side. Last season we spent a huge chunk of our budget on "the future". Well, the future is here and we are no closer to seeing the benefit of that spend. This summer needs to prove these owners can make a serious and consistent impact on the transfer market.

If we're going on pre-season tours with the manager grouching over a lack of incomings or if we are briefing the press that it's a difficult market because of the World Cup, then let's draw the right conclusion. Kinnear and co are not up to it. We've heard all these excuses before, so the time to put up or shut up is approaching. Given that the manager is on the verge of a new contract, the pressure is going to be on Angus and the competent professionals this summer. Let's hope they are up to it.

I think the media is reflective of what we taunt on here, the flippant hype and hysteria narratives of teams and their leaders based on a a few games of positive or negative results. It’s a narrative that is continually in flux and contradicting itself as it’s a macro view on what should be longer term development. Look at all the praise for Moyes now that was scrutiny and pressure barely a month ago post Bournemouth and Man Utd defeats.

There’s still a feasible chance Everton could finish 14th. I prefer to step a few rungs up the ladder of perspective and take a wider view of where Everton are, and where they’re trending. It’s upwards at the moment but let’s see end of season as thats a reflection of the appetite, quality and character in team and manager to take what’s now in their grasp. Too long Everton have been patted on the head for being plucky fall just shorts. I’ll believe this Everton is different when they start to change that.

We’re loads better than previous seasons so that trend is upwards hence patience with the manager for me right now. Feels alright.

None of this thanks Chico. Don't you know he's had one whole, full, endless summer here and improved us? It's clearly not good enough.
