2025/26 David Moyes

I think the media is reflective of what we taunt on here, the flippant hype and hysteria narratives of teams and their leaders based on a a few games of positive or negative results. It’s a narrative that is continually in flux and contradicting itself as it’s a macro view on what should be longer term development. Look at all the praise for Moyes now that was scrutiny and pressure barely a month ago post Bournemouth and Man Utd defeats.

There’s still a feasible chance Everton could finish 14th. I prefer to step a few rungs up the ladder of perspective and take a wider view of where Everton are, and where they’re trending. It’s upwards at the moment but let’s see end of season as thats a reflection of the appetite, quality and character in team and manager to take what’s now in their grasp. Too long Everton have been patted on the head for being plucky fall just shorts. I’ll believe this Everton is different when they start to change that.

We’re loads better than previous seasons so that trend is upwards hence patience with the manager for me right now. Feels alright.

If we finish bottom half it will feel a bit of a wasted season, given we finished 13th last season & 12th the season before (adjusting for the points deduction) given the spend, the loans, the new ownership & stadium etc & feel it would require some reflection on why progress hadn’t been made. Hopefully we make Europe & clearly progress has then been made.

AI slop - most likely Grok now your right wing Tory reading habits have been brutally exposed.

Well you've just outed yourself as a mail subscriber 🤣 as you have to pay to read that article. What a Tory.

I notice their photo has one our players looking like he's throwing a siege heil. In brand for that rag 😋

There are other ways to view. I've put the whole thing in the friedkin thread and am not a mail subscriber.

I see you've added Branthwaite to your list of poorly treated, not sure what he's got to moan about. And Barry's played every game.

I think you've read into those names a little differently to what I actually posted.

Would you not want to hear honest closed door views from those players I mentioned?

Wouldnt that be interesting?

I wouldnt want them to speak out in public

Brother you just turn on iPhone reader and it all becomes clear.

Goodness me youve outed yourself as an Iphone user.

A new low for the Chicomeister.

That post does not fit the Character profile behind it..

Logical/Sensible, just not sure where it came from.. It has been a long break though..

So it's coincidentally exactly the same as your poorly treated list? You wouldn't like to hear from Dewsbury-Hall, for example?

I don't really care what the players' views are, but that's just me.

I think KDH & Grealish would be mightily thankful to Moyes for saving their careers. Pretty straightforward and hardly box office stuff.

I'd prefer to hear about challenges, struggles and goals of players who arent in the team.

Theres lots of former players e.g. Jo, Yakubu that love Moyes. A lot say I should have listened to him. Most of the obvious Cahill, Pienaar, Osman that do. But there will be plenty that dont..there is no mgr without that. Keane and Sir Alex Ferguson arent best pals. Everyone loves Ancelotti, lots of players felt Pep was way too much. So whatever lol.
