Hopefully we can bring Gareth Southgate in to get us over the line and secure European football.
I'm enjoying us being in the hunt for a European place and being in pole position for it.
I know if we only get top 10 it's not a bad effort too.
But we really need to see this manager grasp a chance at this club. ONCE in the past he did that when we got a CL qualifying place back in 2005 - which he ruined, of course....and he achieved with a lowly 65 points....but we'll leave that aside as it still meant he stood on his feet and managed expectations.
I want to see evidence that Moyes can do that at least once again in his 12 years here.
I have to say he's got a few more strings to his bow playing-wise now since he left in 2013, but underneath it all I still detect the excuse-making, big-game blowing loser he always was and will be.
He has the chance to persuade me and others like me who doubt his professionalism during these last 7 games though. ..and that's what TFG's attitude should be too: "REALLY prove your worth by getting the club back to Europe and we'll hand you a new contract."

First signing, Kieran Dowell.
Followed by the right back at Celtic bombed out by Bournemouth who swung off the rafters after beating Rangers recently.First signing, Kieran Dowell.
Lads, managerial contract lengths are irrelevant. Irrespective of if it’s 1, 2 or 3 years if he does well he stays, if he doesn’t he’s fired.
Fun fact, Dewsbury-Hall was the only player who started against Chelsea that Dyche didn’t have available to him. If you really wanted you could also add a fit Branthwaite and England international Dominic Calvert-Lewin instead of Thierno Barry.
Nobody else could possibly do any better, I’d take 17th.
Praise be to Kevin Thelwell.
This is my worry tbh and where Kinnear and the Friedkins need to play their part. The salient part of that article is that Moyes will be given more say in transfers and it's the end of us signing younger players. He spent over £300 million on older players at West Ham and they are now in massive financial trouble with precious few assets to sell due to the age of the players. TFG need to be very careful not to make the same mistake that Moshiri made and try and compete without developing players, which would be folly.
“He’s going to bring all his old West Ham mates”.I think you're not wrong and we dodged a bullet. Which is saying something with our current strikers.
Anyway, as the thread appears to have descended into a session on guessing which former players Moyes will sign to collectively froth over, I'm chucking Craig Dawson and Aaron Creswell into the ring.
Grrrrrrr
You’re not alone there. Don’t think there was many who had him as first choice, or even wanted him back at all.And I am honest enough to say he absolutely wasnt my first choice to come back. But the job he has done is remarkable. He has given us our club back after years of absolute misery. I was wrong and hope now he deserves a contract extension.
Do you really want to go down the vault route though ! Please David. Have some self respect.
Didn’t we spend £100m plus & loan 3 players on top of that.Praise be to Moyes for getting a squad of players that couldn’t hope to finish any higher than 16th up to the cusp of a Champions League place imo.
