2025/26 David Moyes

….glad you agree he’s significantly improving the team, let the build continue.

Surely it’s only a matter of time, 2 year contract extension please 🙌, give players and fans a huge lift going into the summer.
Please stop the WUMMING Eggs it really doesnt suit you.

Still waiting for your answer from yesterday ???
Name one young player Moyes has brought to the club over 3 windows that have progressed and play regularly ?

Until you answer responses to your your claims no one will take your posts seriously.

Pickford - 32
Patterson - 24
Jake - 24
Branthwaite - 23
Myko - 26
Illy - 26
Garner - 25
KDH - 27
Armstrong - 19
McNeil - 26
Beto - 28

Average - 25.45

A random line-up but that kind of age range would be considered pretty perfect.

….its a bit of a nonsense discussion. We could have a younger average than any team in the league but I’d prefer we picked a team to win football matches.

Very good blend in our team, the average age will reduce when Gueye moves aside but for now he’s doing a great job which is all that matters.

All a bit stupid, the anti-Moyes posters scraping the barrel 😄

The question was put about age, that shows age isn't really the Issue.

You seem to hunting for JFTM's kneeling mat next to Moyes throne..

No one cares about your question or the answer. It's completely irrelevant. Moyes has promoted Harrison Armstrong and improved Garner, O'Brien and Tim Iroegbunam. And he brought young players to the squad who may well make a big impact next year

I just checked and it turns out the average age of our championship winning team in 86/87 was 27. Absolute disgrace. They should give their medals back.

Its a poster bigging up the manager as building this team and progressing & playing youth players regularly.
Pretty simple questions for a forum mate.

Just for the record I think Moyes has done a fantastic job( apart from the cup shambles ) with a squad on its knees til he came in. He has added KDH and Grealish and not much else but has done very well with that.

He's got a tune out of Tim, massively improved Garner, brought O'Brien in. Given Harrison minutes. Even Myko and Keane have improved. Do you not get the sense of a team being built/developed. That doesn't just mean signing players.

….well we certainly agree on that. Building a decent side. What I like is it looks like we have transition in key positions, O’Brien to play CB, Iroegbunam, Harrison and Rohl our CM.

Just needs to find a top striker and decent RB.

Think it's telling that after Saturday ex pros were remarking how we totally outplayed Chelsea and much of the difference between the teams was our blend of youth and experience. And they were highlighting the lack of it throughout the Chelsea side. Think we'd all love a team with an average age of 23 but we don't have the money to or time to buy the promising youngsters and bed them in. It's a results game and as it stands Moyes is getting them. Lose the next 3 on the bounce and obviously the mood of the support base will change. Just bathe in the warmth of a fortnight of positive vibes.😉

You do know Garner was always going to be a top player dont you ?

The reason he has progressed so well this season is
1. No Dyche & 2.He is playing consistently with a long uninterupted run without the the 2 spells out with a back injury.
Always destined to be a very good player for whatever team he plays for , just ask the Utd fans.

"Since Moyes has come in, you've seen my levels go up"

Straight from the horses mouth.

Of course, that's why Utd let him go and why he looked poor under Dyche. Moyes hasn't helped him at all.

We all like most of what we are seeing that is never in doubt and the manager and staff should rightly get credit for it.

And the huge price sum of youth he brought in that gets shunned every week ?

Until that is addressed ,as with a RB & Striker I will remain unconvinced.

I have never once looked at a team sheet and thought about the average age. I only look at the players and how they are likely to perform on the day. Average age is irrelevant.

Great to see & hear but obviously that is following on from the Joke that was here beforehand.
I'm convinced he would have reached the same level playing for the likes of Emry , Arteta , even Pep.

Super player now he's overcome his troublesome back injuries.
