No no, no worries mate - I get told I waffle on a lot here - and I get the POV, I just mean it'd be good to see them a bit more too - we get 5 subs a game and Gueye/Tarks/etc. don't have to play the full 90 (and then some) every possible game. Tim's being introduced a bit more lately, Rohl got in when Gueye was at the AFCON, Armstrong should be thereabouts too - we can't rely on the same team for the full season and then possibly Europe like. It's one of the thing that bit Moyes hard with WHAM imo - they played their first team with little to no rotation (unless injuries) against everyone in Europe. I'm not talking about weakening the team for no reason too, just give them a chance when we're a few up, or genuinely need to introduce fresh legs - Garner and Gueye have both looked knackered lately and can probably use a bit of a break before they're ran into the ground. No, it's not relevant, was just pointing out maybe why the squad was maybe aging a bit when he left. Lack of backing.
I personally couldn't care less how old Gueye is. He's one of the first names on the team sheet as far as I'm concerned.
I'd maybe get people going on about the average age if it was like 33 or something, but people* going on about it because it's in the mid-high 20's when Tarkowski ( de facto captain) and Gueye, two of our most reliable players, both performance and availability wise, are 33 and 36 respectively.
*mainly Zat tbf. I think I might just make him the only person I have on ignore. I know a lot of people think Dave should be ignored, but at least he's a 'character'. Zat's just a tedious Fifa bore.
Soz to go off on a tangentSometimes the train of thought just comes out.
I also know that Moyes won't change this at this point in his career though so we work with what we've got I guess, and hope for no injuries.
