2025/26 David Moyes

3 weeks off now. Loads of time to negotiate the contract extension.. And to announce it just before the derby to give everyone a big lift .

I don’t get why he needs an extension. He is already contracted for next season & he isn’t going to get poached no matter how good some on here think he is.

TFG were happy for Dyche to see out his contract so from a business perspective they could wait & see how next season progresses & then make a decision.

You could argue it would help (or possibly hinder) the summer transfer business but realistically Moyes isn’t here for an extended period so can’t see it would actually make that much difference.

Does 5th place get champions league if villa win the europa and finish in top 4 “up the villa” - brummie accent
5th gets it if Arsenal or the RS draw or win a leg of their QF ties or Forest/Villa/Palace draw/win a leg of their Euro ties because of the coefficient

Villa or Forest go on to win the Europa then it’ll be 6 in the CL for a second year running. Palace win the Conference then potentially 9th could get Europe if one of City, RS, Chelsea win the FA Cup

Whether this is being tounge-in-cheek or not - he absolutely should not be getting an extension either way. Its that kind of short term thinking that lands us in the shabbite time and time again.

….we do need a more strategic approach, should definitely offer him another couple of years given the improvement we’re seeing.

Not tongue in cheek at all.
One year left. Doing a fantastic job. Having a managers contract expiring as the season progresses is a bad idea.

Next 2 games shape our end of season, we get 4-6 points we are right in the hunt for top 4/5. (I believe getting any European spot this year will be a brilliant season, be a little gutting to only get the conference, at this stage being so close, but any Europe is better than none, after a rough few seasons)

So many positives this season, to be where we are with a not so good home form, moyes has delivered, in what was probably thought of as a rebuild year. But we are right in the mix.

Big summer ahead to improve again, but I feel like Moyes has adapated so much of his game from being that manager who loved 1 nils back in the day.

Let him have next season in peace and see what he wants to do in 2027.

Personally I’d be more than happy if he were to move upstairs into a DoF type role if he no longer wants to coach.

Good morning lads, we seem to have lost a few very vocal posters in the last month or so? Wonder why they disappeared lads.
Good morning to you too, Sir. But wtf was your preview? I was most looking forward to reading it and very disappointed that you let us down.

Any chance of a witty description of the Chelsea manager or that odd haircut #10 player to make up for the lack of the preview?

Thanking you in advance from a land far far away.
