2025/26 David Moyes

Moyes still took United further into the CL then any other manager then Ferguson.

Id think what is more damming is the fact that out of 72 possible chances at domestic trophies. Only 10 of them have been won by teams outside the "big 6" and 3 of those where when teams were spending money like it was water.

And 2 of those 3 were relegated because of reckless spending and has essentially destroyed the clubs.

But hey ho im sure that moyes fault too somehow in your mind
Spending does not get you relegated

It was a net record for this club and even though it's not a lot compared to other clubs but because of the ffp requirements and our lack of commercial revenue throughout the years it's a lot for us so not to incorporate players that we bought is criminal. Did you want him to spend more money on players he wasn't going to use?
He should get lost and let someone else use what we do have. Moyes is clueless

Can understand everyones frustration but eh didn't know when he took over we were like Brazil... we've been to hell and back the last few years just saying like... not his biggest fan but we have been proper grim for ages.

We were one point above the relegation zone, having won only 3 of the previous 19 games when Moyes took over. He turned that slide around. It's fizzled out in the last month or so.
Moyes is a far superior manager than Dyche.
But Dyche is a vastly overrated manager as we witnessed and should never have been near Everton.
The home record this season was atrocious , as bad as any relegation haunted season we have endured .
An outstanding away record saved us.
But at this point , I associate our new stadium with dismal defeats including some absolute batterings by average or poor sides.
Moyes is half a manager , good at defensive work , but average to poor at attacking.
This has always been the case but the results this season have accentuated the fact.
He will continue here next season but his home performances will have to improve if he is to survive beyond that.
Personally I think he will be gone by January and we will all be left regretting the decision wasn’t made earlier.

Personally Im not having this whole net spend argument.

He still spent 400m. It doesn't matter if hes got a great net spend 400m is 400m imo.

Isnt Chelsea's net spend really good? Theyve still spent over 1b on players.

I know thats not a popular opinion on it like but imo money spent is just money spent.
Not really. City spending 400m isn't the same as Bournemouth spending 400m by flipping players and reinvesting.

Much more difficult to do what Bournemouth have done and relies on the manager developing and getting the best out of the players they sign.

All the sales they made - Semenyo, Huijsen, Kerkez, Zabarnyi, Solanke - All players they signed for relatively small fee's, developed and then sold for double or triple the price they paid, allowing them to reinvest.

Very different to Chelsea and City throwing money around and only possible because of how effectively Iraola developed those players.

I think we had 2nd best away record until very recently. Played whole season with no real strikers and no real right back, bottom or 2nd bottom of the net spend league over the past 5 yrs even with last summer's purchases. As I said, fizzled out towards the end of the season.

European challengers😄yeah, we were for a week or two...and he basked in the accolades...and when the games mattered and his experience expertise and leadership were needed, his team failed, miserably, and he stood on the sidelines bereft of any ideas, no changes were made and when it was all said and done, in his press conferences, he blamed his players for loss of form...never himself...pathetic.
