2025/26 David Moyes

You're telling me @Eggs wouldn't advocate for a life long contract? obviously I was being facetious to a certain degree but I did see someone pushing for a 5 year deal

….i have my doubts that he’s interested in a contract extension. I’m sure he’ll see out his current deal and I’d expect the new owners would like him to stay longer but I suspect he’s planning to retire.

I do think he’s ideal for this transitional period, new owners, new stadium etc. The key is we’re progressing, I’m sure some posters want immediate success but I think another couple of seasons will be ideal to build solid foundations for a tilt at the next level by a new man.

The club has had enough upheaval, the last thing we need is another procession of new managers.

I've been probably one of the most vocal critics of Moyes on here this season. But fair's fair, you can't not acknowledge that our away form is absolutely outstanding.

Big frustration is obviously that if we had even a half decent home record we would be in the mix for top 4, so really hope that he can show a change in his approach to those games before the end of the season.

Didn't HK also take us to the brink and get sacked several times and prior to success bored us with 0-0s before it turned. We could have +50% possession like Spurs & Brighton though and it'd make people happy.
As a fan you want both winning with entertainment- it's bit blunt to say look we are safe but boring fans to bits - yes safety is paramount I get your point - but two banks of four at home is not working- we could be in a European spot with a bit of good team selection etc our away record is almost as good as Arsenal- our home form in front of our fans is sadly woeful...

Nono, Dave is doing a subtle shift in his stance

Okay, he is forgetting completely the subtle part, but still..
Dave is just being Dave, he's seeding the lawn. Gradually raising the level of belief. Whilst he's pushing out the positive outlook,
He's just covering his bases, we make Europe and we've only accomplished what should have been expected..
We don't, and we've missed an open goal..

😂😂 so after years of dross, European football is now seen as an “open goal” in a post criticising the manager that has some believing it’s and “open goal”

Haha that's a lifetime ago!
Yeah, but the more things change the more they stay the same. The simple principle of having the best football men in charge yielding the best results holds true. Building a strong dynastic culture with a devotion to excellence is the best path.

At places like Barcelona their boot room exists, but it goes beyond just managers etc to a deeper organisational level. In the Premier League clubs take short cuts and just burn money.
