2025/26 David Moyes

That's problem like you said he's usually quality but even if he has an underwhelming performance KDH is afforded a free pass from Moyes to finish the match. There's no accountability for players he fancies

Yep, was kept on because he "might have a goal in him". Sometimes you've gotta say, its not his day and freshen it up. What did we make last night, 2 subs?

our current tactics involve defending for our lives and then hoping for a corner. A blind man sat backwards on a galloping horse can see there are easy improvements to be made.
Really? You assume the players are being held back. I would argue the tactics are set up to mask their limitations as much as possible.

The squad just isn’t great and it will take some time to improve it.

'Last night was an excellent result. It is the sign of a good side when you can claim three points in such games... Everton are picking up points and are absolutely horrible to play against, for everyone. I'm glad we aren't playing them again this season. What an ugly team.'

'Everton's game plan was to charge about into everyone and destroy the game, even if it meant sacrificing any overlaps in wide areas or the box.'

'One of the worst games of football I've watched in a while, awful attacking ideas for both teams, but at least we got the points.
Everton's shithousery was on another level though, they've played like it was a CL final. I guess Moyes set them up to prove a point.'

'I honestly think it's the biggest compliment a team is when an opposition changes the size of the pitch, deliberately leaves the grass longer and then tries bully boy tactics on your goalkeeper. Because it means they don't think they can outplay you. I'd be more annoyed if I was an Evertonian because plenty of teams have shown they CAN outplay us (Brighton regularly, Brentford, and more such examples). So there's really no need but Moyes gonna Moyes.'

'Everton really are the anti football aren’t they, not even any attempt to play any football, and that includes the scrums on the 6 yard line (seriously this [Poor language removed] needs to stop ) Just watching Moyes now post game, what game did he watch thought they did enough to win the game “they hit us on the counter ad they ran away with the win” and “their keeper did very well” FFS Moyes'

Pretty damning

Our tactics are the equivalent of a League 2 team v a premier league team in a cup match. Get it in the corner and hold them in lads. He is a dinosaur. We have excellent players - Garner, KDH, N'Diaye, Branthwaite are not mugs.

He’s Ok as a squad player, but he doesn’t seem like he’s ever going to be good enough to be a starter. If he proves me wrong I’ll be pleased.
He's a work in progress. The point is he's a decent ball carrier which another poster said we didn't have. His passing needs refinement though before he can be seen as a first teamer

It's a funny read considering they didn't play any good football themselves.

Arguably out of the two sides, we was a better watch on the eye attacking with more intent, tbh
