2025/26 David Moyes

Amazing, how he has subsumed the club in the news cycles. Moyes fits like a glove right now, but we need a stronger voice against the owners. Better spending and team depth. I don't wanna be playing second fiddle to the fortunes of Roma, as much as I like their team. Hope to see someone who can guarantee us a trophy even with terrible on-field footy.
There's no one who's going to guarantee us a trophy, obviously.

It is really unfair to compare Moyes and Dyche. We can at least laugh at Moyesy's jokes. Moyes is a vastly better manager than Dyche, but we need a better backroom team and fresh blood for the manager to work with whatever he has got.
He’s better, but falls in the same camp
As dyche, old school safety first manager, more scared of losing than trying to win.
He picks his back room team and has the final say on transfers.
Who picked charile Adam to be set piece coach, was that a favour for Moyes’s
Brother ??

Would love to have Ancellotti again in this new stadium. Or Jose Mourinho. Someone who would take it personally if we do not win a trophy. That is a guaranteed trophy in my view. We'd atleast have our name in the hat for sure.

Premier League or FA cup victories are hardly a sporting achievement nowadays, it is as much a social and media construction as some brand storytelling. If our story is good then we might win the trophy, else it does not matter how good we are.

Its unfair to compare them as Moyes has been in the game twice as long as Dyche has so he should be better and more experienced but they share some similarities. I 100% agree on the backroom team comment, our current team is woeful imo, Irvine is even older than Moyes! then McKinley is a bit of a nothing merchant, then its Baines and now seemingly Coleman neither of whom have any real experience. It's a very small setup for this level. We still have no set piece coach which I just find very odd given how prominent it is in the game and Id like to see some sort of attacking/skills coach brought in as its fairly obvious when we get over the halfway line we struggle to know what to do at times in terms of patterns of play.

He does not fall into the same camp, he is for all intents and purposes a winner of an european cup. But the backroom staff need better fresh blood re:Adam

Im embarrassed looking at Irvine on
The bench, he just looks like an old man who’s lost his marbles, does he actually say or do anything???

Moyesy is stuck with 2000s technology in his mind, we need to get him to update his coaching badges.

It’s a trophy that West Ham should be winning, Chelsea second 11 even won it
It’s like having the FA cup.
With no prem teams apart from us.

Dyche’s Forest have been doing well in Europe, think that say more about how far ahead the premier league is these days. Look at Moyes’s record at the domestic cups,
It’s shocking.

I think he is similar, we don’t score goals, we don’t create many chances,
It’s all very defensive, it’s what dyche does, it’s what big Sam did. Moyes is better, but Sunderland fans may tell you they prefered big Sam.

If we got 10th This season and Moyes went, I could accept finishing lower next season under a new manager,
As long as we seen some hope for the future, like playing young players,
Players being coached, an entertaining team to watch, who go out to win and play on the front foot.

If Moyes gets a new deal we will be sat here in 2yrs with nothing changed, dull, defensive negative football, probably still around mid table and in the mix for Europe, but amongst the lower scorers and creators in the league.

You might accept it, but do you think the majority of fans would accept falling down the league table to play on the front foot more?

Moyesy has better man management skills than most others and no trophy is easy to get. Every trophy has stakes and it is trivialising to think otherwise. I would love us to win the damn thing, only to play in the same conference league because Roma are in Europa. Heck we can even be the only returning champions. I do not care, we need trophies. Even the ceremonial summer premier league one is a start.

Yes definitely, for a season or two at the most, let’s see where we finish this season, but I’m not hopeful of Europe with the tough run of game and the poor home form. Can you or fans accept finishing 10th to 12th watching this dross ?
