2025/26 David Moyes

We played Arsenal at home had 1 shot on target and hardly got into their box. We drew 0-0 with Villa. Maybe in his first stint we may have had hope of getting something from city, Chelsea, lfc and Manu at home but now..... We'll see.
As far as Dibling, Aznou, Alcaraz and Iroebonam goes Moyes bought two of them so must have thought they had something to offer. He got Rohl on loan but seems a bit reluctant to play him at the moment. As I said, it's not the full backs issue that is stopping him from playing attacking football, but his containment mentality.

I just think our full backs and strikers are such a massive drop off from the quality we have in other areas. Those players belong at clubs in the relegation zone and you can't get away with it all the time in a league like this which has very few easy games.

I'd be more than happy to see Patterson and Aznou start home games and get us playing more on the front foot. Obviously realise could be a disaster but it would be great to see O'Brien and Mykolenko not in the team.

His pist match depressive manner was in stark contrast to the chipper 'we're doing similar at home to Goidison last srason', pre match. He seems puzzled about what has happened tonight. Let's see what he can conjure up for the Manu game.

Probably puzzled as to why when you have Branthwaite OBrien Tarkwoski Barry in your team you still concede a goal from two headers in your own penalty area from a long diagonal free kick. Absolutely un real from a set of professional footballers defending a set piece.

Its because for the second time in as many seasons bournemouth have stolen points from us in a 7 minute spell. This is extremely rare in football for an opponent to do that and in both fixtures its extremely difficult to explain the fortune that the opponent has had.

Its not like the Brentford game where we were outplayed, or the leeds game a tale of two halves. Or the newcastle game where we were slow out the blocks and hit on the counter.

This one cant really be explained. We have played well and looked in full control and in a 7 minute period find ourselves a goal down and a player down and all hope lost from absolutely nothing.

Tonight won’t be the reason we won’t get Europe, not getting a proper striker and at least one full back in January will be the reason.
Pretty much equates to the same no matter which way its dressed up.

Massive opportunity missed in that window . Europe there for the taking with just 2 incomings ( George is a replacement for Grealish's season ender ) tonight wont be the last time this happens.
"Ambition" is a word that gets its fair share of mockery on here but its exactly what the club have not shown.

Sorry but " keep our powder dry til summer " doesnt wash watching tonight and it wont be the last this season.

Terrible decision to not bolster and improve the squad in January.

He’s really got to find a way to change this home form round quickly. I think we’re a bad start against United away from it turning pretty toxic in the ground, the frustration is getting more and more evident by the game.

At HD we've looked very shaky when we concede. When the crowd gets antsy the players definitely get sloppier
Everyone is adapting to it and it seems tougher than we'd hoped

Hopefully his puzzlement results in some deep thinking and a change of tactics at home.
