Is part of the psychology of the lowering of expectations not to take pressure off the players? It seems sound from that perspective. Internally the aim is Europe but don’t overpromise so the players start feeling the heat.

What I want him to do is learn from his mistakes in team selections & develop the younger players.

So far he's failed repeatedly at both. Yes hes getting the points but we can all see clear faults with lineups, team selections and players out of position.

The only thing that will cover him is European football for me.

In the summer we can reassess but if i was part of TFG id be very unhappy with how hes used/not used players but would be very happy with European football.

I genuinely hope he’s telling the players “don’t listen to all my waffle in the pressers” and is very much putting it on them to perform beyond their comfort zones rather then letting them know it’s ok to lower expectations.

It must be part of it if you look at how his teams tend to overperform relative to resources (bar the occasional blip season).

Im elated with the most result, I still think we squandered points with Leeds and Brighton. There are two extremely challenging matches approaching at home which we've been abysmal in our form at the hill dick,Moyes needs to build upon positive results and utilize a fully fit squad sans Jack instead opting for favorites.

The 'favourites' thing always amuses me. It's literally his job to have favourites and pick the players he trusts most.
