I’m okay with easing Branthwaite in tbh. He’s too valuable long-term to risk re-injury. And with a quick turnaround on Tuesday, I see his logic with Keane. I don’t like the logic of JOB at RB.
He was fit enough to play Left back last game which is a much more demanding role. We’ll see if Keane is still getting starts when Branthwaite is fully fit.
We won today anyway. Didn’t notice any massive gaffes from Keane.
Tarkowski more at fault for the goal if you wanted to point fingers, though I’m not really a fan of that. Especially after good away win.
He wasn’t bothered about protecting him last game were he threw him left back after a lengthy injury. It’s obviously a protective measure.
Precisely why he won’t have started him today. We play again Tuesday. He was fit enough to play Left back last game which is a much more demanding role.
we’re improving massively
and long may it continue
There are still lots of things that frustrate me about him but to go from where we were to this is impressive
Very similar to the Ancelotti season, isn’t it? Home form after early weeks was atrocious. Were you unhappy with Ancelotti? Not at home we aren't, we've regressed. We haven't won there in 2 months.
To be clear, I'm happy where we are now, I don't want him out and I support him getting another season, however, I want him to make sure I'm still happy after my 15 hour round trip on Tuesday.
Start going to the away games instead! Not at home we aren't, we've regressed. We haven't won there in 2 months.

Maybe it’s jus the way it is, look at city’s form since the turn of the year despite spending more in the last 18 months (net) than we have in 18 years. There are valid criticisms especially on a game by game basis.
But even those lineup choices that make us gnash our teeth, you have to give him a wee bit of leeway even under the worst of circumstances right? He’s the manager, he sees the squad every day, we don’t know what he sees that we have no way of knowing.
And with that little buffer built in- I don’t see how anyone can complain about this. Short memories here. If anyone could have shown us this when we were getting points docked and buyers getting revealed as having phantom finances and 4 foot 8 Barrett-Baxendale was allegedly getting mugged in a headlock…. you would have been mocked for daring to suggest anything other than League One as our 2026 placement.

Nor would Moyes if Everton don’t have another game in 72hrs on the back of an 8 month injuryAncelotti would not be dropping Branthwaite for Keane.
So you’re saying Ancelotti always picked our strongest team possible and still produced that home form? Hardly a ringing endorsement.Ancelotti would not be dropping Branthwaite for Keane.
My particular frustration is that Patterson, at least to my poor eyes, seems to lose us nothing in defense but gain a significant benefit in attack. I’d just like to see him get a run of a couple of games to test that theory.I’m okay with easing Branthwaite in tbh. He’s too valuable long-term to risk re-injury. To be fair everyone's home form was bad in the Covid seasonVery similar to the Ancelotti season, isn’t it? Home form after early weeks was atrocious. Were you unhappy with Ancelotti?
