2025/26 David Moyes

If he get the points on the board there will be the posts claiming better than last year & stability is everything despite the probability that the team could be so much better & could play some decent football. 😊
A lot of fans are saying it’s so much better than the last few years, which is right and Moyes had only had 2 windows and it takes time. The caveat is what’s the game plan, what’s the tactics, what do they do at Finch farm. We need to see something that gives us hope going forward and I don’t see it with Moyes.
In 2 years we may have better players and we mayb be a couple of places higher and in the mix for the last European place.

But I don’t expect to see anything different from a style point of view and it will be exactly what we’re seeing now, poor football, negative tactics, every week is a battle, playing players out position, poor and late subs.

Over a calendar year, unfortunately split over 2 seasons. Christmas to Christmas we had accumulated the 2nd most points only behind a great Utd side. First full season after the cup win, Kanchelskis got injured on his debut and was out for a while. Plus we had other injuries. Arsenal scoring last minute of the final game, stopped us qualifying for Europe

2nd season sitting 5th at Christmas. We lost, Parkinson, grant and I think the other was hinchcliffe all in the same game. Then things started to unravel and Royle was gone 3 months later. Yes he had money, but you still need to spend it well. He was a better manager than Moyes fur me and what he did at Oldham was outstanding
Said it loads off times big mistake letting Royle go last manager that didn't accept we were just happy to make up the numbers.
Had a bad run with injuries towards the end and needed backing.
Moyes has done good but I think we had a higher ceiling under Royle and honestly I would pick Royle every time.

I particularly liked the part of the press conference when they asked about Barry scoring 5 in 6 and Moyes answer was "he needs to play much better".
We all know there are ares of his game to improve, but the manager could atleast acknowledge he's been doing well lately. To immediately jump to a negative comment is just baffling.
That’s wot he’s like mate he can’t help himself

I know.
Must be awful to be a young footballer trying to fit in at a new club in a new country. You finally start scoring some goals and helping the team, and the only thing your manager has to say is you need to do much better.
He’s always been like that, has his little favourites that can do nothing wrong , i honestly thought last season that he’d mellowed out a bit and was looking forward to this season to see what he could but from that pre season in America he’s reverted right back to his negative excuse filled nonsense that we fell for first time round

Talking about loaning aznou out, as we’re swimming in left backs or left sided midfielders/attackers aren’t we?

Oh, that’s right, we can lash the best young cb in the country, who’s just returned from injury at left back if mr bean gets injured.

Kin Laughable.

Who we signing then Davey, must be some incomings? Crack on.

Think it's the mentality that comes with their achievements as a player Royle was a winner in a team that came to expect to win. Moyes was a journeyman.
