2025/26 David Moyes

One thing that has always struck me with Moyes is whether its injuries , suspensions plus an abnormally small squad he often stumbles upon a formation to get a result.
He did it at Villa and I was pissed off he changed it tonight and Leeds took full advantage by flooding the midfield and having able runners to counter attack.
He changes it at half time and matches them with 3 centre backs with Dewsbury Hall being the extra body in midfield , it was some turn around.
Will he stick with that for the next game , history says he wont. Thats why we are where we are.
And surely he's seen Myko & McNeil offer nothing in any formation he puts out and need replacing ASAP.
We all know O’brien is RB, Keane back at CB

Plus McNeil starts or comes on at HT

I’m very grateful to him for steadying the ship this last 12 months and the away wins have been a nice change.

That said, wouldn’t be arsed if we rolled the dice just to make it a bit more interesting. Not sure I could stand watching another season of this predictable safety first approach and watching Everton be bossed at home by teams like Wolves, Brentford and Leeds.
Hopefully the owners feel the same

We've got problems at home definitely. We want to play more on the front foot but our full backs don't allow for that to happen and we find it very difficult.

I just think overall we are about where I would expect us to be. It's the way of the modern game to roll the dice and get a new manager in the summer - I don't particularly see the point. Not convinced there's enough to be gained by it.
Well he could change things, give Aznou more game time. Especially tonight as a wing back. Moyes playing the worst attacking left back at wing back is embarrassing. All on Moyes he’s to safe and he’s negative

Leaving KDH off the team sheet..
Starting KDH after just returning from injury.

It was always going to be one of those responses..
Yet he had no problem starting 50 year old Gana and changing a winning midfield from the last game...tbh we can keep going around and around, his decision makes no sense other than to prove Davey has favorites and is stubborn as an old donkey.

The issue isn't whether the team is ready for European football, it's whether the manager has any clue at all.
Four consecutive games of pathetic first-halves and the genius still hasn't figured out why.
