2025/26 David Moyes

I’m very grateful to him for steadying the ship this last 12 months and the away wins have been a nice change.

That said, wouldn’t be arsed if we rolled the dice just to make it a bit more interesting. Not sure I could stand watching another season of this predictable safety first approach and watching Everton be bossed at home by teams like Wolves, Brentford and Leeds.

Meh. Come the end of the season it won’t matter. We just need to build on it. Avoiding a loss is a positive and will give the players confidence.
Does it bring confidence? A side set up with seemingly no plan to beat the 352 and no way to wrestle back once they'd lost control, at home.
When Leeds bought those 3 attackers on late they started getting on top again
- theres more niggling doubts than confidence coming out of that.

Sure the confidence comes with Rolls Royce and KDH back, and Barry continuing to score - but, at least for me, there's continuing and increasing doubt in Moyes. That's not good. We may end up seeing our best players leaving while the club treads water.

The fact is we weren’t good enough to make our chosen formation against them work and had to adapt. It just shows we have a way to go.

Mirroring the opponent is negative, but it was needs must.
