2025/26 David Moyes

Sorry, I thought you were whinging about fans clapping Bill Kenwright (a guy who passed away some time ago). Must have confused you with someone else.

Oh wait a minute, you actually did clap for him didn't you?

What was your favourite Kenwright moment? Mine was when he put himself into the Everton Hall of Fame. Just beating the collapse of the Kings Dock deal as he wouldn't relinquish control of the trainset putting his own needs before the club.

Wibble. Imagine spending your Saturday afternoon thinking about your hatred of fans clapping a dead football chairman.

He wasn't dead at the time.

Plus, it's still morning currently.

Wouldn't say I hated the fans, they were family and friends. I was disappointed but the majority in the end saw him as the snowman and charlatan he was. Took them more time than others.

So basically we go the game or tune in every week just to watch a game footy with no hope of actually achieving anything?

I want to see us 45 minutes away from winning a trophy.

This summer is exactly the right time to kick on from mediocre nothingness which we have been for 30 years, Btw Moyes has been here for almost half of that time.

He has done great since coming back getting us from where we were to where we are now with also the transition from GP to HD stadium.
But for me his job is done now, the club is stable and has the opportunity to kick on, but we wont under him.
West Ham fans probably thought the same.
And who said anything about not wanting to progress.
You have seen how threadbare the squad has been with injuries, suspensions and ANC.
We are at least one possibly 2 or 3 transfer windows away from being consistent top 6.
Apart from Grealish injured and KDH, the rest of the Summer signing were bought, with the future in mind.
For once we are going in the right direction and I doubt, Glasner or anyone else could have done better, given we have had half a team missing, for weeks.

I'm so up and down on Moyes. We don't play the best footy week in week out, but clearly he gets the players behind him and we occasionally pull out great performances and results.

His under-utilisation of younger players and unwillingness to change things always stings.

They have spent a lot on signings who haven't performed, Gordon and Elanga have both been awol for months now, Elanga has 1 assist since he got there (I think) and he cost £55m. Howe has gone as far as he can with them imo, I would expect a change come the summer, there does seem to be a bit of chat here and there.
Elanga didn't half put the frighteners on our defence.

You basically said it. He is average. Some good traits, some bad. Meh. We won't really progress or challenge with him at the helm. You can thank him for keeping us stable and wish him farewell after the season. He did what he was capable of.
