2025/26 David Moyes

Typical Joe Thomas article, full of fluff and praise and that we're halfway through a "successful" season. He wouldn't know success if it slapped him bang in the face. Halfway through the season, out of both cups, in 12th, squad down to the bare bones. Yep, sure sounds like success.

He's a constant "be careful what you wish for" writer who doesn't want to ever get on the wrong side of any Everton manager.

Buzzwords, soundbites, horse manure.
There isn't a single journalist who can be trusted on Everton. You know this simply because not a single one is ever critical of what goes on there. We saw that with Headlockgate. It was only when the club had suffered a financial nuclear meltdown that they dared criticise Moshiri - and that was only because he was AWOL and, basically, the past.

There's not been a hint of criticism of the Friedkins and nary a word against Moyes's pathetic capitulations in both cups. Nobody, it seems, has questioned the value of spending 40m on Dibling and then not playing him when we still have huge gaps all over the field. Nobody has questioned the Coleman contract extension even though we knew here that it was a folly when it was offered.

Everton is really poorly served by professional media. Even a single voice of skepticism who doesn't fret their press conference pass will be taken from them if they pop up above the parapet would be most welcome.

That Mark Douglas from the I seems to be the client journalist for TFG.

He has had all the exclusive stories from them.

They only dared to criticize the previous administration after the second FFP deduction. Hardly a word was said while that situation developed and unravelled before our eyes

Questions should have been getting asked since the Korman days but their job is to paint it all as sunshine and rainbows at Everton. Just think about how meekly they accepted and promoted the Benitez appointment despite the overwhelming disgust of the support.

It's massively obvious they care more about being invited on club tours than they care about asking the questions Evertonians deserve answers to.
