2025/26 David Moyes

He's a disgrace this feller. An utter disgrace. He calls down this club at every single opportunity and all to protect himself from having some ambition demanded of him because he finds it threatening.

He’s talking sense …

I know you prefer Bobby telling us how phenomenal we were after taking a 92nd minute lead against Bournemouth and then losing the game 3-2 by the 97th minute …

But what he’s saying is true and if you had said January 1st 2025 that we’d be where we are now most people would agree “it’s not a bad position”

Not sure if it’s been mentioned earlier in this thread but I think it’s Moyes big personal priority this season to get us into the conference league - which will give us the best chance of winning something next season

The conference league is another PSR drawbridge .

Is means your wages to turnover has to be 70% but the actual additional prize Money isn’t big enough so it means you have to actually reduce your current wage bill

In his last season here: two cup SFs and an 11th place PL finish.

If Moyes had done that this season there'd have been people on here carrying around giant Moyesatollah portraits and flagellating themselves.

Dave you lunatic….

You are on here a couple of weeks ago saying how basically anything other than 1st in a league is irrelevant…

You’re now celebrating cup semi finals and 11th… ( with one of the best strikers in Europe) as some sort of achievement

It's all relative
After Dyche that would feel pretty good for sure
I liked Phenomenal dont get me wrong, there was some nice football in there at times but we had a better squad and even still the defence and set pieces went to bits with him looking for the perfect goal

@Swartzy was it you asking about stats for style of play etc? Just found this:

Kind of backs up what we look like to the eye, ie just not really any attacking identity at all. Crap at both direct attacks AND patient build up. Not sure what we're trying to do really.

One excuse after another.

You know you're in trouble when the Echo has to be called out to prop you up.

And by the way: Moyes said two weeks ago that other clubs had it worse than us because they also played midweek in Europe. The story changes to suit his demands. As always. It's all about Moyes not Everton.

Had to laugh at this by the hack though:

"...the hope is that his team can use the success of the season so far as a platform to push for further progress".

🤣 🤣 🤣

That's pure Josef Goebbels.

Could not have been said better.

He's taking the piss now, 'full throttle ', my arse. Looking forward as well to the team 'going for the jugular.'

Inside Moyes' Everton plans with determined boss intent on going 'full-throttle'

The Blues boss is set to ensure standards remain high as he demands the best from his players over second half of season

Davey's Angels, Full Throttle.

Read that article and made me think is there a massive disconnect between online fans and real life fans? I mean if you read here you’d think Everton and in crisis and Moyes in on the brink.

Then speak to good Evertonians in person, read pieces by professional journalists and it’s a lot more calm and measured. It’s left confused me lads, don’t know what to believe.
Online fans: floppy fathers.

In person fans: raging bucks.

Quite why Moyes has that effect on each fan group is a mystery.

Yeah, cheers mate.
Like you say, what is that ?
That's no game approach to get bums off the seat, adrenaline on the pitch, and even real belief in the players that we can put something to bed.

That graph looks stale.

Not really a worrying sight for an opposing team on how to counter our game.

The only eyes worried about that, are ours..

It's all relative.

We are much improved under Moyes, despite all the injuries and suspensions and AFCON.

He is not Dyche.
Points wise maybe but i don't think i could say I've enjoyed a singe 90 minutes at home so far this season , 10-15 minutes here and there , the lack of entertainment has made the grounds atmosphere none existent that bad Saturday there wasn't even the usual 2 effort half time highlights shown over and over again

So, we're slow and aimless going off that diagram.

Worryingly, it would suggest that we may be in a false position and count ourselves lucky not to be lower in the table.
