2025/26 David Moyes

I’ve seen enough of Patterson to know he’s better than the forum gives him credit for. He’s better than Seamus at this point, particularly for health reasons. Patto doesn’t have to be the long-term solution. But he’s way better a choice for RB than big Jake.
him as RB brings balance to the back line

O’brien trys his best but he is not a RB…he’s not built for that role!

He’s the best right back option at the club currently. Unless something has gone behind the scenes we don’t know about the continued shunning of him is ridiculous. He’s played two games now against Forest and Sunderland and not made major errors in either. Moyes needs to play him into fitness and form and get over whatever stupid issue he has with him.

i’m not TFG its upto them

but losing on pens and being kak to brentford and wolves

doesn’t justify a sacking
It just feels so underwhelming, it’s supposed to be a new start . I’m sure We’ll be safe which is an improvement but we’ve spent money and look like the Everton we’ve seen for years. The striker issue is draining on its own

Spurs 3 nil. Newcastle 4-1 at home with our best players available. Brentford 4-2 with Ndiaya and Dewsbury-Hall, two of our best players missing. Crap performance against lfc that everyone was finding easy to play against and win. A decent victory against an extremely poor Manu with Gueye sent off. Abysmal performance against Arsenal at home and poor performances against Man City and Chelsea away.

Spent over £100 million on 5 signings - and 4 loan deals, with only Dewsbury-Hall given the chance of consistent first team action. Who can Moyes recruit that would change those abysmal performance, above, and other poor results? It can only be defenders as we have enough midfield and attacking players. Therefore, it's our defence that is the problem something Moyes was supposed to be great at sorting out.

If our defence is the problem, which it is then why didn't he get more defenders in, in the close season and why isn't he signing some now?

But we also are one of the lowest scorers in the league. So our attack is not very good despite spending £100 million of attacking players.

At least Dyche had the decency to say he's took his squad as far as he could. Moyes has had money to spend and has bought some very talented players but he doesn't know how to get the best out of the. Maybe, he should also do the decent thing, either now or at the end of the season.

Sunderland were favourites to go down. They signed pace and have a bit of belief and confidence. It shows.

I still expect that early momentum to fade and them to finish bottom half mind.
We need to be all over poaching their recruitment department. Ours is muck.
A lot of truth in this mate, and we shouldn't lose sight of that.

There are deeper concerns too though - like even prior AFCON, only Wolves had scored less league goals than us.

Of course when we have Grealish, Dewsbury-Hall etc in the team, we're better equipped to win. Its why I hope this season would see improvements on the last few.
I think today proves that every signing besides those two is not up to standard.

Take them and Ndiaye out of the team and we are no better than Sunderland right now.
