I’ve seen enough of Patterson to know he’s better than the forum gives him credit for. He’s better than Seamus at this point, particularly for health reasons. Patto doesn’t have to be the long-term solution. But he’s way better a choice for RB than big Jake.

A large part of the success in his first spell was down to having adventurous full backs in Baines and Coleman who would bomb forwards and support the likes of Arteta and Pienaar, yet now he seems content with Mykolenko and O’Brien and our total lack or attacking threat.

He is never going to take us forward we have 10 years of evidence of him…as manager of the club we’ve seen what he can do. We all know his limitations

He’s 62 he’s not going to change.

I mean out of both cups and failed to win our last two home games including against I think statistically the worst ever prem team at this stage . Things feel a bit over to be honest

We haven't been a top side in over 30 years. We have been blessed to stay in this league . Other clubs have flown past us.
We can all be disappointed and annoyed. But let's be honest here its been happening with 30 years.
Some just havent realised it or accepted it . Its reality though.
Outside of ourselves no one really takes us that seriously anymore .
Our history is great. But thats what it is . History.
Can we progress. Yes. But we need to do an awful lot more to do so.
But we will still probably finish top 10 or so with a brilliant stadium and fan base. Its not all bad.
