They may well have done.4 of them played today didnt they
The point is making ( obviously badly ) was they had 6 at AFCON and it didn't derail their season.

If is going a lot of heavy lifting hereIf we win a few on the bounce this thread will fall silent. The team is rubbish, no manager is getting much out of this threadbare square squad. Pep couldn’t of got a tune out of Dibling, Rohl, McNeil, Beto and Barry today
We're going to have to play with an awful lot more cohesion and desire to get anything out of the Villa game and the way our current home form is I'm not even optimistic about playing newly promoted Leeds United after that. This side is absolutely drained of any confidence or verve. We look like a shadow of a team all the way across the pitch. Aznou was a breath of fresh air out there today, in contrast.Hopefully we can get a few results over the next 3 or so to go the right way. We'll all feel better if we're top half with big players coming back.
Christ. The "small picture stuff" is you just focussing on today, or a manager that fails to give experience and confidence to fringe players in a small squad, or failing to see he's taking us nowhere fast, fans and players.Sunderland have beaten better teams than us this season. Blaming Moyes for today is small picture stuff
First of all no McNeil in the squad and played AznouHow would you have changed things up today to win the match?
Because its 3 years in a row. A bad result can happen but three in a row is a trend. And throw it than dismal wolves cup tie as well.So why is it embarrassing to lose to teams that are our level?
Wha?If is going a lot of heavy lifting here
So many think TFG have the same ambition as fans for some reason. This is the Moyes level and what we have experienced over many years.
His problem now is he doesn't have an owner telling the press he's the best manager in world football now.
TFG won't suffer fools and will happily sack Moyes without a second thought.
The nostalgia in having him back for the Goodison finale and opening of the new stadium was nice but if this club wants to improve, it will have to leave the likes of Moyes behind.
