2025/26 David Moyes

Hopefully we can get a few results over the next 3 or so to go the right way. We'll all feel better if we're top half with big players coming back.
We're going to have to play with an awful lot more cohesion and desire to get anything out of the Villa game and the way our current home form is I'm not even optimistic about playing newly promoted Leeds United after that. This side is absolutely drained of any confidence or verve. We look like a shadow of a team all the way across the pitch. Aznou was a breath of fresh air out there today, in contrast.

Sunderland have beaten better teams than us this season. Blaming Moyes for today is small picture stuff
Christ. The "small picture stuff" is you just focussing on today, or a manager that fails to give experience and confidence to fringe players in a small squad, or failing to see he's taking us nowhere fast, fans and players.

How would you have changed things up today to win the match?
First of all no McNeil in the squad and played Aznou

It wasnt the team selection so much but the approach and tactics. (managers fault)

High tempo
In their face
Get bodys in and around Beto
Get the FBs overlapping as much as possible
Get the crowd going
Sharper passing instead of rolling into each other
Play a highline defence to pin them in
Avoid going to back to Pickford unless necessary
Tell more than one midfielder to show for the ball from the CBs (Only Garner does it) if he doesnt get it it gets launched.

All this is the manager and i guess a lack of training ground stuff

So why is it embarrassing to lose to teams that are our level?
Because its 3 years in a row. A bad result can happen but three in a row is a trend. And throw it than dismal wolves cup tie as well.

This isn't a serious football club. Ran by people who talk themselves up and deliver nothing.

Our season is over and I want changes ahead of next year. The earlier the better

This is the Moyes level and what we have experienced over many years.

His problem now is he doesn't have an owner telling the press he's the best manager in world football now.

TFG won't suffer fools and will happily sack Moyes without a second thought.

The nostalgia in having him back for the Goodison finale and opening of the new stadium was nice but if this club wants to improve, it will have to leave the likes of Moyes behind.
So many think TFG have the same ambition as fans for some reason.
We have no idea what they want to achieve. They don't talk, they haven't really released a lot of transfer money and they charge too much for doughnuts

Its desire and belief isn't it?

We look devoid of it.

To be fair, this club are experts at zapping the life out of you.

Likes of Dibling looks like he has the world on his shoulders.

Moyes is a yesterdays football manager. He can't work out how to play attacking football quickly and consistently in this era. He can't work out how to win the ball back in this non contact era. He has to next season to win a cup, so if we go out both cups next season then he needs to be told to resign.
