Christ. The "small picture stuff" is you just focussing on today, or a manager that fails to give experience and confidence to fringe players in a small squad, or failing to see he's taking us nowhere fast, fans and players.

Bigger picture is that we’ve nearly been relegated multiple times over the past few years and now we’re comfortably mid table a few points behind European places. Despite having a honking squad and half of them unavailable.

And that is exactly what has happened previously for years , a handful of decent results now and then, we inevitably revert to type. Then it repeats itself season after season. Same thing as what happened under Bill and Moshiri.

As people at the club said one time “a few decent results and the protests go away” never assessing the core issues and problems.

So many think TFG have the same ambition as fans for some reason.

He needs to start Aznou either at LB or LW. Needs to get players in this window and needs to get the players playing stop this hoofing. Players we have now with so many injured and away need confidence. If we lose confidence now we’re in for another relegation battle

Last season Moyes stood there and took all the plaudits for starting O'brien at RB after dyche had left him out for half a season, then he (moyes) turned around and did the exact same thing Dyche did to Anzou.

But honestly, I've no interest in watching us right now. That side just annoy me. No positive qualities about the way we play. We just exist.

First of all no McNeil in the squad and played Aznou

It wasnt the team selection so much but the approach and tactics. (managers fault)

High tempo
In their face
Get bodys in and around Beto
Get the FBs overlapping as much as possible
Get the crowd going
Sharper passing instead of rolling into each other
Play a highline defence to pin them in
Avoid going to back to Pickford unless necessary
Tell more than one midfielder to shoe for the ball from the CBs (Only Garner does it) if doesnt get it it gets launched.

All this is the manager and i guess a lack of training ground stuff

This sounds absolutely great if you've got the players to execute it. Today, we didn't.

Our full backs are absolutely atrocious. The worst in the league. Pointless to ask them to overlap more.

We push up and play a high line then we're exposing Tarkowski and letting them smash us on the counter.

Finally, you're asking the manager to do all of this with a team of players that have never played together before and likely never will again.
