The biggest thing I can take away from today is how he's given the players confidence, and equally how unhappy the players seemed previously. The first two goals just wouldnt have happened under Dyche. Basic man management

You can see the weight that had been lifted straight away. It just looked like they'd actually been told to express themselves today. Worry less about the opposition and make them worry about us.

Well for those who say that Moyes conspired or misjudged the game which resulted in us nearly capitulating we still come away with three points and it’s far better than his predecessor being 2-0 up with two mins to go and losing 2-3. That’s the difference. Moyes is learning about these players. Dyche had been with them for 18 months.

Not Dyche

Is anyone else starting to get the feeling that the 'Hard Yards' malarkey we were sold on was just a nonsense, made up phrase that Dyche pulled out of his hoop?

I'm starting to think we've been had, lads!

At the end of the 87-88 season we sat fourth. Bit disappointing really considering we had a first, second and first in the three seasons prior. But still … onwards and upwards right?

Needless to say in the almost 40!!! years since then we have finished fourth or higher just once.

That was with Moyes.

This is simply facts from reality.

It doesn’t mean Moyes is the only person who can have a decent season with Everton. But it is kind of silly how many people have this idea that Moyes is the problem and he holds us back.

Moyes decade is SO MUCH better than the decade before and the years since. Do facts from reality not at least count for maybe 10% of people’s opinions? If he’s so bad why couldn’t anyone else do better for thirty bloody years? It’s almost a bit silly we Evertonians even have to have this conversation about Moyes a million times every single day given the facts from reality.

Great result. Great manager. Today is the first day in many years it hasn’t bothered me as much that every post in a thread is replying to someone I blocked and don’t want to read what they say or even what people say in reply to them.
