2024/25 David Moyes

We certainly wouldn’t have seen the football we witnessed under Dyche in the first half. Dyche showed on countless occasions his one dimensional approach to games, that is great if your winning games (as we did at home towards the end of last season) but we weren’t this season.
Yes my enthusiasm for today’s result is tempered by arguably the worst defensive performance against us this season (along with Wolves) and our finish to the game. Nevertheless we needed to win, we got the win and scored 3 goals. There is a lot of positives to take moving forward.
Completely agree, I hope Moyes can make it so that the last stretch of games at Goodison isn’t a nail biting battle for survival. Would be really nice to be able to say goodbye to a place I’ve gone since I was a boy with my Dad in the right way and not be worried about relegation.

I don’t think the way we started fast and got 3 first half goals was by accident.

I feel Moyes knew enough about Postecoglus team to know they will attack until the very end.
ā€œIt’s just who we are mateā€.
So we knew we’d need a few insurance goals. He even said he’d asked for a 4th

I don’t think the subs were necessarily bad subs, we just didn’t have many other options. The players subbed off were all visibly struggling, so they were necessary changes.
