wow, fair play to them like. nearly a whole season! after decades of success, i'm surprised they stayed loyal for more than a month.

pretty sure ferguson had to ask the supporters to support the new man in his leaving speech, was pretty relevant.

Is there a maths equation dictating how long fans should ignore the obvious?

The man has been delivering disaster on a fortnightly basis since the summer transfer window how long should they ignore what everyone else knows? Previous success isn't an excuse for future failure.

Re Ferguson's speech it's unprecedented in my lifetime I seriously can't remember it ever happening before, anywhere. If it's relevant it's only as ground prep for ensuing trouble which brings us full circle.
 
If Ferguson had done a speech before he left a few years back saying that United fans have to get behind Bebe and give him time, all it would have meant was that United felt obliged to keep hold of an absolute donkey for years.

Same principle here, except the donkey is a manager. Ferguson made a horrendous mistake, like he did with Djemba-Djemba and the ilk. It doesn't tarnish his legacy that Moyes is a tactically inept bottler of the highest order.
