No. I think he'll do brilliantly.

Not a single person commenting on this has the first clue about how good a coach Round is.

Moyes clearly rates him and it is him who will be judged on their results.

Finally some sense. This place is becoming more and more like the dreaded kipper by the day.

We had a former full-back as our attacking coach? Are you sure? It would explain a lot, like.

I dont think it really matters that much were coaches played. It helps im sure but its not essential.

Thomas Schaaf was a defender and is one of the most ridiculously attacking coaches around.

Having quality players is what makes teams a success more so than coach's, managers ect...

Of course they play a part but ultimately what's on the pitch wins you the games more often than not.

Moyes will be fine at utd due to that quality. Just as we won't tumble down the table next season due to our quality.

Moyes never listened to Round anyway, in the same way that he never listened to Irvine. I've been lucky enough to sit about 6 rows back behind the away dug out at OT a few times, and whatever the assistant said, Moyes ignored it. One example...a few years ago we were losing heavily at OT(think it finished 4-0), and Irvine was pleading with Moyes to change things ..'play through the midfield and try to turn the centre backs' Moyes ignored him and just continued shouting 'hit the front man'.

& you heard that conversation clearly from 6 rows behind the dugouts at OT?

Of course you did love.

EDIT: & btw we never lost 0-4 at OT under Moyes.

Wow, if it's that easy maybe I should get into this managerial thing.

United appoint Steve Round as assistant manager, Chris Woods as goalkeeping coach and Jimmy Lumsden as first-team coach.

Oh no! What a shame they've left us.
