By winning? Is Sagan spoiling the green jersey competition by winning it so comprehensively?

What relevance has Sagan got to Team Sky's domination? I suppose if Sagan joined sky he'd win the Tour yellow jersey within 2 years.

No point going around in circles here. You believe Team Sky. I don't. History keeps repeating itself

No one here believes a pro-cycling team is completely on the level - they wouldn't be trying if that was the case [personally I think if there's an area where the piss may be being taken it's in off-season weight-loss / maintenance, which can be pharmaceutically accelerated, and masked, many different ways]

The gigantic cheating scheme you are proposing, though, needs a conspiracy theory, and all of the weak-minded pish that goes with it.
You're suggesting they are doing something off the scale [worse than US Postal], that no one else knows how to do, and is powerful enough to make an average rider crush the entire peloton for seven years. But riders and employees who have left Sky don't want to talk about it lol

How do you suppose they are doing this btw? Because it sounds like Brailsford is sitting on the next Nobel prize for medicine and physiology, but obviously he wouldn't want that, as adding 30 Watts to a cyclists' FTP is more interesting.

All whilst seemingly going a lot slower than in the good old days.

The bit where you said no riders who have left have said anything but they aren’t going to are they if they are still competing. They would be banned for being involved if Team Sky have been drug cheating and they at the team when it was happening.

Consider me a complete ignoramus on these matters and answer me this one small question if you will...
Do the riders who have left Sky stop their drug cheating ways upon leaving or does it continue into their new teams?

Riders left Team Postal Service and rode for other teams after it. Whether they continued drug cheating who knows.

So they're all at it then?
Doesn't that kinda negate the idea of doing it?
I mean if everybody is at it then how does it give any individual any kind of advantage?

The dislike of sky does have a number of causes but without doubt the general feeling of alienation with a race the British team has dominated since 2012 is almost certainly the biggest imo.

There is also general scepticism arising from well publicised revelations regarding Sky’s use of TUEs, particularly Bradley Wiggins' use of the corticosteroid triamcinolone before Sky's first Tour victory in 2012, plus the team’s lack of transparency and record keeping which is associated with all the jiffy bag stuff that came out.

I wouldn't pretend sky are straight over Wiggins and did try to cover up any reputational damage, albeit completely unsuccessfully.

There are plentiful reasons posted above why its completely unfair to keep suspecting every subsequent rider though and if there had have been any subsequent blatant cheating, it is highly likely that it would have come out by now.

Because they had a problem with Wiggins using (or abusing) TUE's doesn't mean riders so many years later are in some way cheating or any proper use of an asthma drug has to have been inappropriately administered.

Froome and Thomas are worthy champions

Wouldn’t say they all are at it but I would guess a lot are. Just some doping will be giving more gains than others.

You say it highly likely would have come out now but how long did it take out for Armstrong to be caught.

No one will know for certain but you can understand people being unsure when they are dominating so much being still a fairly new team and with the the stuff that has come out already. Cycling has a bad name for doping as well which doesn’t help.

Yes highly likely is as positive as anyone can be, you can never be 100% certain, its impossible without being the person themselves, only Froome and G., Dumoulin, Roglic, Quintana etc .... will really know if they themselves have ever cheated and even then there's the possibility of them inadvertently doing so without knowing.

To be judged guilty until you've 100% proven yourself innocent is an impossible burden for anyone to carry.

Because of the UCI leak Froome was judged guilty by Hinault and others before they'd even discovered there was no case to answer.

The enquiry was to see whether there should have been a case brought and should have been done without publicity to ensure no damage and that the processes were followed properly.

The vindictive and malicious leak ensured that it wasn't and that he was guilty in the eyes of the social media hate mob no matter how innocent he really was.

They're dominating largely because they've got the best team tbh. In their Tour squad alone, Castrovejo is a former world TT podium finisher and has a best Tour finish of 24th, Kwiatkowski is a former world champion, monument winner with a best Tour placing of 11th, Moscon is one of the best time trial and classics riders in the world with a best GT finish of 27th, Poels is a monument winner who was 6th in the Vuelta last year, Luke Rowe is a strong classics riders with top 10s in PR and Flanders, Bernal is one of the hottest talents in world cycling and a winner of the 'junior Tour', as well as this years Tour of California, and then you've got Froome and Thomas.

Add to that the likes of Henao, Ellisonde, de la Cruz, Intxausti and Diego Rosa who have all been either top 10 or top 20 in a GT. It's a depth of talent that few can match. Heck even Deignan and Kiry have top 20 placings on their palmares, whilst Geogan Hart is another hugely talented youngster.
