I've watched a fair few races from the roadside and having a womens race come through an 30-60 mins before the mens would certainly add to the occasion. There must be some logistical reasons preventing this from happening?

I wonder what would happen if they banned power meters. I think pro riders are so well adapted that they might not miss them too much - if you trained 1000s of hours on a power meter then you're pretty much crystal clear on what your threshold feels like, what the red zone feels like.
