Yates will probably win the thing, he's the strongest.

Maybe Dumoulin gets 2.30 in the TT, but that won't mean much. Unless Yates has a very bad day day ofc.

I can't wait for the lavish praise to be heaped down on Yates from the press, followed by the next 8 years trying to hound him as a drugs cheat.

If he knows what's good for him a couple of miles from the end of the last stage he will stop, lie on the floor and spin the wheel of his bike. :)

It's only a matter of time before he's labelled the convicted drug cheat.

yates must be heavy favourite now, still 56 sec lead after the tt

1/8. He is absolutely smashing it, only a crash or a seriously bad day will stop him now. He deserves it, it’s classy seeing the Maglia Rosa attacking everyone on every mountain stage, hope he holds on.

Barring a crash it's surely in the bag now, and given the way he's attacked on pretty much every uphill in the race, it's a thoroughly deserved lead too. It's hard to pinpoint where the improvement has come from. He's been there abouts in a few GTs but nothing to really suggest he can dominate one in the manner he has here.

Really is a cracking contest. The Queen stage tomorrow and you feel whoever triumphs there will win the race. It will be fascinating to see if Froome or Pozzo decide to have a long-range dig on the Finestre. It's that time of the race where riders will decide if they want to roll the dice or stick with their relatively minor placing. For the last few years the latter has tended to dominate, which may make sense for Pozzo, but less so for Froome (or to a lesser extent Pinot but I don't think he has the legs)

I think Pozzo will follow whees cos he is happy with podium even if he has the legs, the likes of Lopez and possibly Froome may light it up on the Finestre, Dumoulin can take that time back in the blink of an eye now. Interesting that Yates said he prefers days like tomorrow and Saturday.
