Everyone I know on speedplays is using them for a biomechanical / injury reason - I believe they give way more float adjustability than conventional pedals, and can be a lifesaver if you have bad knees etc. Think they're also two-sided like an spd which is good if, like me, you struggle to clip in smoothly to road pedals.Right seems like as good a place as any to post this. So.... Speedplay pedals. Any good?
Nice one. That's what I thought about they look really easy to clip into. It's not like I have issues with Shimano's etcs i'm just lazy and I'm getting a new bike soon so thought about trying something else. Might try the Looks.Everyone I know on speedplays is using them for a biomechanical / injury reason - I believe they give way more float adjustability than conventional pedals, and can be a lifesaver if you have bad knees etc. Think they're also two-sided like an spd which is good if, like me, you struggle to clip in smoothly to road pedals.
If you don't have a specific reason for wanting them then I wouldn't use them - conventional shimano, look etc pedals are more robust and work fine for most.
48 seconds enough against dumoulin in the time trial?
it's a better event for the sky machine faltering I have to say, really hoping nibali's decision to sack off the giro because this TdF route suits him pays offAbsolutely no chance i'm afraid. If Yates, Pinout & Pozzo had any sense they will all work together to crack Tom on the Zonc and Sestriere.
What this Giro has shown is how weak Sky are now.. and what effect it's had on the Alien (plus he's probably not glowing).
To be fair, Sky have never really done well in the Giro. It's a bit like their relative lack of success in the classics. They don't do so well in races that are bit less structured. In the 8 editions they've contested, they've only managed the top 10 on 3 occasions, which given their success in the Tour and Vuelta (5 wins of the Tour, 1 win; 3 second places; 1 third place and 3 top 10 finishes in the Vuelta) is a really poor return.
